Walkerjames
Great review WJ, I've been a little absent of late (moving out of our house in prep for the move to the US) but wanted to make sure I devote some time to reading these reviews! Sounds like the SCORs are keepers! Thanks Brad! Ya they are staying in the bag for sure. Have a safe move! Now I need to make a trip to Hawaii! LOL! RoverRick
Excellent review Walker. I found the distances you hit these very interesting. It would appear that just because the degree gaps are evenly spaced does not necessarily mean that gaps in yardage are not even. There is 8 yards between the 9 iron (42) and PW (46), 8 between the PW (46) and 50, but 13 between the 50 and 54 and again 13 between the 54 and 58. Oddly enough, I have found that if I have the traditional 4* gap does not give me the distance separation that I want. This is one reason I did not apply for the Scor Test. I do not buy into their philosophy that your wedges MUST be evenly spaced. But rather that you should carry whatever club you need to cover the distances that you desire. Rover, I just recently started working on my wedge game and I have noticed the same thing about the loft gaps. I like having 15 to 20 yards between clubs on full swings. My wedges are 44 (130 yds) , 49 (115 yds), 52 (100 yds), 56 (80 yds), 61 (60 yds). When I took the SCOR fitting test on their website they did not recommend a 61 but I really like having it in my bag.

This is really another thread but with choking down all the way down until my hands are on the steel and quarter, half, 3/4 and full shots and playing blades, I can cover a lot of different shots set distances. It is not like having 13 other clubs in the bag, it is like having 104 set distances. This allows me to "Waist space" by having more long clubs and less wedges. But I did not like hitting partial shots with cavity backs because they seemed to not be as consistent. txgolfjunkie
Great review TX! hope to hear a follow up to see if the 9i and PW end up making the bag Thanks. And the I think its just a matter of time before the 9i and PW make it in the bag...its just getting comfortable over the ball with them. I liken it to changing from a ping anser putter to a taylormade spider. Eventually you focus less on the club and more on your shot. Blade
Good job whiskey! I'm going to try a 54° myself! Just a note though, it's not truly forged. It's cast first and then heated and hammered like a forging. That's what the Tru-Form Forged means. Whether that makes any difference compared to straight cast or forged from billet steel, I don't know.
revkev
Great job to date guys! I thought I'd throw in this informal but important review. I could not have hit the ball worse on Sunday and still managed to shoot a 75 because of my SCOR 55,60. I literally turned an 83 into a 75 with those clubs and the putter doing the heavy lifting. whiskey golf
Can anyone explain "lead bounce" and "primary bounce" on Scor wedges? Acording to their web site, on a 57* wedge, the specs give a "lead bounce" of 30* and a "primary bounce" of 7*. Thanks for the explanation. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken but I believe the Primary bounce is "activated", if you will, on full shots to prevent digging into the turf. The Lead bounce is used on greenside bunker shots and other lies where high bounce is desirable. The lead bounce is that narrow part on the sole and you can see it covered in sand on my pictures. It's in order to get the best of both worlds without having to choose high or low bounce.
