  1. Same here. I had a 3 and 5 wood TSR2 that I switched out to a ping 4 icrossover and a 7 wood ( Titleist GT2) I think I will swap the 4 icrossover to 3 . I tried out the 2 crossover as well but couldn’t hit it as well as the 3. Although, my fitter seems to think a 3 crossover ( 220 yds) and a 7 wood (220-230 yds) are basically similar for me and too far from my 5 iron (190-200 yds) have you looked into the Callaway Apex 24 Utility wood- comes in a 17, 19, 21 loft ? it could be that 240-250 club that we all yearn for ( esp those like me who can’t hit their 3, 4 or 5 wood well but are decent with a hybrid)
  2. Anyone playing the Ping icrossover 2 or 3? If you do, can you share your yardage and club speed ? I currently play a icrossover 4 and I find it’s not much different than my 5 iron distance 195-210 a too much loft for my liking I am looking for a driving iron that I can default to when my driver is acting up or for a second shot on a par 5
  3. I have been trying to find a club that fits the gap between my 5 iron ( 180 yards carry) and Driver (220-240 yard carry on a good day) I have Titleist TSR2 3 wood and 5 wood (18*) but I can’t hit them. as some of you advised, I tried out some driving irons and the ping iCrossover 3 amount others and I loved it. Got it to 215 yards when I bent my back but then the fitter asked me to try the Callaway AI smoke 4 iron and it was amazing too with similar distances. Now, I am confused so wanted to tap into the collective wisdom iCrossover 3 Or AI Smoke 4 iron or iCrossover 2 AND a 4 iron or another 3 iron and 4 iron I play srixon ZX5 MKII irons (5-Pw) but they didn’t have the Srixon 4 iron for me to try. Has anyone tried ? Sorry for the long winded post swing speed ~101 mph handicap: it’s a great day when I can break 90
  4. Thanks for the thoughts thus far. when I said I rarely hit my 7 wood TSR2 well ( 18 degree) i meant I can’t get it to draw so I always fade and its a hit or miss. I found this Callaway paradym 18 degree hybrid at my local simulator that I have been hitting straight and long. Is it a 2H or 3h? I am hitting it better than I ever hit my 3 wood or 7 wood. as far as the fitting goes, it was at a PGA superstore and the fitter said I will grow into using a 3 wood. I think he was well intentioned but over estimated how much growth I needed! we didn’t try any driving irons either - any recommendations ? Also, I added some pics from todays simulator session to ask what could be a good club to bridge gaps
  5. Looking for some guidance on driving irons I am new golfer and can’t get enough. Recently got fitted with Titleist TSR2 driver, 3 wood (15 degrees) and 7 wood ( 18 degrees). Problem is I absolutely stink with my 3 wood. I can carry a driver 220-230 yards and my 5 iron 180 yards. When I hit my 7 wood well, it carries 210 yards but it’s very rare. I am trying to find a club that I can carry 210-220 yards for the second shot on a par 5 or maybe a long par 3 and was looking into utility drivers/ driving irons. Thoughts? Utility irons or hybrid? irons are srixon zx5 MkII ( 5-pw)
