  2. Good morning everyone ! I'm quite new to the Forum but I have to say that this good morning post , to friends who share the same passion as me , makes me very happy. So it doesn't matter if it's coffee, tea or orange juice. Have a nice day everyone and happy golf!
  3. Testers Wanted!   Yes, two opportunities! We had a small snafu with the title on Thursdays Testers Wanted having the title for Vokey SM10 and highlighting Stix. My apologies!    Be sure to sign up for both and stay tuned for when we announce our testers every Tuesday! The new Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges were released in March of this year and have been a popular addition to many golfers' bags since. We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. About The Vokey SM10 Wedges  MyGolfSpy Staff member Tony Covey has a complete breakdown of the new SM10 wedges here , which is a must-read, but the shorter version is Vokey SM10 is focused on three key elements: versatility, distance control, and trajectory, and maximizing spin. The Vokey SM10 lineup has six different grind options for a total of 25 different loft, bounce, and grind options.  This includes the M Grind that had previously only been available through WedgeWorks and T Grind that has also made its way to the retail market. The other options that a golfer must choose from are the finish, and the SM10 has three of them: Tour Chrome, Jet Black, and the new addition Nickel.  There’s more though; the Vokey SM10 has refined the shape and CG placement to help optimize distance control and trajectory. This works in tandem with their spin-milled grooves that have groove geometry that varies depending on the loft to maximize spin for each loft. Titleist Wedge Selector Tool  Of course, all of this can be a lot to take in, so Titleist offers an online Wedge Selector Tool to help simplify things. It is a series of eight questions which gather various information about your current setup and game to help make the best recommendation on what setup would be best for you. To try it yourself, go here! What Is Being Tested?  As previously mentioned, we are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. We want you to tell us how they perform in real-world conditions and play. Importantly, we also want to know how the Wedge Selector Tool works and if the recommendations are what you would normally expect.  The selected testers will go through a Titleist Fitting for their wedge set and see how it compares to the results from the Wedge Selector Tool. Think you are the right golfer to participate in this test?  SIGN UP HERE! *Must be a registered Forum member to be selected. *Registration ends May 2, with testers being announced May 7. *Applicants must post a screenshot of their Titleist Wedge Selection Tool results on the Forum thread here. *Expense for in-person fitting not covered as part of the testing opportunity. 5. Flying butthole Similar to Punahou School here (famously known for Obama being alumni).
  6. Today
  7. Always a minimum hour. 2 isn’t terrible if I want to eat prior. If it’s SIM golf I’ll play the course before playing when it counts But only need to swing an 8 iron, a wedge, driver, roll putts. Don’t need much time just need to stay warm.
  8. I played a course perhaps 20 years ago in the KC area, perhaps on the Kansas side that had a really short par 5. It was a double dogleg separated tall trees, 2 separate fairways. It took 3 well placed iron shots to get on the green. It was a really unusual layout and not a driver hole. Unfortunately, I hit driver, and it was not until I got out of the woods back out in the first fairway that I fully appreciated the subtleties of the course. I made double on the shortest par 5 I’ve ever played.
  9. Strategy - Have fun, drink lots, go for everything. Rinse and repeat
  10. My newbie introduction is now live. I was tempted to stick with the Ai theme and have Chat GPT edit it for me, but I stuck with my own boring prose. Chat GPT was just a bit too cheesy, filled with puns that were over the top.
  11. I use the Arccos with my Apple Watch. I’d say 70% of my shots are captured in real time except for putts. I stopped using a sensor in my putter because it was working so poorly. Because of this, I manually edit after every hole. I love the statistics and reviewing my rounds, so I can handle the little bit of frustration that comes with constantly checking to see if shots were recorded.
  12. I hate to say this, but you can find such great deals on used putters, I wouldn’t waste my money on a brand new putter these days. The Lab putters are sweet, but cost like $500. Scotty’s are around $400. Even Odysseys are outrageous! I do LOVE the looks of the new Wilson Staff putters. I talked a buddy into buying the Grant Park style for $96 from my club. I would pay that in a heart beat. My current gamer is a Scotty I got for $225 years ago from a buddy. I have a Benttinardi I bought from a golf store for $140 I used for awhile and I loved. This year, I bought a putter Zach Johnson donated for $60. I just can’t see spending more than $200 for a putter. I’m just cheap, I guess.
  13. I’m a no shades, no hat kind of man. I do have a pair of Blenders I’ve played in, but I prefer no sunglasses. Mainly because I don’t want the tan lines haha
  14. I think there was a glitch, so if this already posted, I’m sorry. I walked over 200 rounds last year wearing exclusively True shoes, granted switching between pairs. My favorite for waterproofing is the OG 1.2. I love the Lux Sport as well, though they did lose their waterproofing after many rounds (like 100). The wide toe box shouldn’t be a problem for you. Your feet might actually appreciate the extra width, especially if you wear insoles. if you’re truly concerned, I’ve heard Ecco makes great golf shoes, though I’ve never owned a paid.
  15. Hmmmm I dunno? How does that correspond to the natural frequency of the shaft?
  16. I like the technique but not a fan of the balls. I played with one of my scramble partners today and let him play them. He loves them. I think he’s damned near sold on them. He’s a lefty and we were playing in the wind. He has a banana ball flight. But with the Bridgestones, he was hitting them straight and for the first time I’ve played with him, hit som baby draws. These balls are made for him. I played the Titleist TruFeel balls for the first time and really liked them. So weird!?!? Anyway, I have a conundrum, I’m still playing the OnCore Vero X2s and am back to loving their performance, the Chrome Tour X, the ProV1 - and the ProV1/X, and now the TruFeels. I never thought I’d like the TruFeels. Someone gave me a sleeve to try, and it was windy and I didn’t want to lose my high dollar balls so I said what the hell. But I’m glad my buddy likes these Bridgestones.
  17. Awesome, Always got room for another MGS tour card on the bag!
  18. Didn't pay attention to your putter. Odyssey stroke lab shafts are counterbalanced. Per the website it is probably a 20-30 gram weight: A lightweight steel shaft with 20-30 grams (depending on the grip) of counterbalance weight in the butt end. This is an evolution of our Stroke Lab Weighting that will appeal to even more golfers.
  19. They seemed lighter than my Vokeys, I have S400 shafts in them…I did not pay attention to the shafts that were in the Pings. The small swings I was doing, the Pings felt nice…can definitely see the appeal with these.
  20. I have about 15 probably, because I got a super good deal on Taylor made balls. I use 1 ball for 4 rounds most the time
  21. Definitely quite a few dignified and refined tree rats amongst the community’s rank and file…..
  22. This is exciting. I love these newer companies trying to get a piece of the pie. I've seen Dave Fink use these on his youtube channel. They certainly look good, looking forward to seeing how they perform.
  23. Actually, my next test will be the Ai-One vs. the Betti Queen B #6. I also want to do a putt off against the Evnroll ER2. It will be the duels of the double wides. There's a country song in there somewhere.
