    How many of you out there play golf mechanically? I don't know how to play without thinking about mechanics.

      check out Wisdom In Golf by Shawn Clement. You can free your mind of most of that and hone your focus on the TARGET and your brain and body take care of the rest.

    So yesterday I went and hit a SUPER DUPER LARGE bucket at the range, I found that even though i dont usually use an interlocking finger grip, it worked extemely well with all my clubs, including my driver. What gives? Today my back feels like someone horse kicked me in the spine...Any recomemndations for core work? Stretching, yoga?

      you're saying the grip change gave you back pain? I recently switched from years of interlock to overlap and I'm actually releasing it properly now. Not sure on your back...
