I don't mean to thread jack, but I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath for several years. (I played the base's 9 hole course countless times). Occasionally, we'd play Thetford and Newmarket, and a couple of others during home and away matches. Thetford was quite a challenge! I became obsessed with golf when I lived in England, and that obsession continues 30+ years later! Play well.

I"m not an expert either, but if you compare the sole plate, it appears that the sole plates are different. The authentic appears to be laid on top of the putter head (you can see through the two indentations), but it appears the one in your picture looks like the indentations are pressed into the metal.
