  1. The problem with bridgestone clubs is that they are not easy to find at most popular golf shops... i am debating on going to Bridgestone just for the fact thay they are fairly cheaper than Mizuno. Is there a huge difference between the J33 and 36? i am a 7 handicap and i think i am ready to invest on irons that allow me to shape the ball. Any comments on the differences between Mizuno MP53 irons Vs. Bridgestone J series?
  2. I have a nice little dilema for my next purchase. Im debating between a 3wood or a 50 gap wedge. Im a 7 handicap, driver off the tee is in average 270-290 yards. My next club is an 18 degree hybrid that i drive about 225-235. so im thinking that a 3 wood would bring me closer to 250. i think it would be beneficial to have a 3 wood for narrow fairways and long par 5. My other option is the gap wedge, right know i have a 54 and a 58 vokey plus my regular pitching wedge. i hit about 120-130 yards with the pitching wedge and i hit between 70 to 90 yards with the 54. (i try not to hit har
  3. im from Albany NY. so i figure it woul be cool to share your thoughts on courses in the northeast area. Being from Upstate New York, i have to say that bethpage is obviously on top of the list. Any recommendation on courses that fun to play and affordable (Unlike Saratoga National)???
  4. I dont want to sound like a looser, and i give all credit to the folks spending all their time posting so that they can win those awesome prizes. But after one day with the forum, i realize that a lot of us have no shot at winning a prize. if you have a blog and get hundreds of people to recommend, then you will have a shot. But i think im speaking for a lot of people, i dont have time to post 70 post a day, i love the forum idea but would it be fair to a minimum do a couple of random drawing or find a different way to give prizes? after all, if your unemployed or have no kids you might have a
  5. I think the crowd factor should be more included as part of the game. they can play football, baseball hockey soccer basketball with huge loud crowd. it would be great for any event to make it more entertaining with the pressure of noise. i like the matchup event and the night idea... final round on sunday would not make any difference because most major events are not during the football peak season or even baseball. theres nothing like a nice afternoon golf on TV anyway...
  6. sorry pal, i did not buy it, i won the item at a golf event... overall, i think its a great item but just wondering if its worth keeping it or using the money for something else...
  7. Everyone talks about their favorite wedge, but what is the true difference between the Vokeys, Cleveland and Mizuno wedges... other than feeling, im probably not tech savy enough to tell the difference. any thought.
  8. Simply because they cant get any higher. they might be a great position now and may bloom a little but will not increase like mizuno or adams can... Tiger brought golf rating sooooo high that not only nike profited from it but all the companies, Mizuno and adams is not at the same level as the major brand but close. Thats why i think Mizuno his the upcoming company because of their technological Advancement.
  9. Without a doubt, Mizuno, because they are the upcoming company. the Irons are getting to the top, their drivers are getting better and the most advanced technologicaly. all the other brands are on top and can only go down. Ping, Taylor Made, callaway, nike and so on...
  10. i thought the item was over $100 and would it be the same to use an old club shaft and attached a rag at the bottom?
  11. Agree but i dont want to open the new box so that i dont loose the value... im still in limbo.
  12. i have been carying my bag for the past 3 years and i now have the clicgear push cart. i have not tried it yet on the course but should i just sell it and keep playing with my carry bag or will it be that beneficial to use the push cart?
  13. Im a low 80's player. i have a new set of wedge (Vokey 54/58) and i love them, great touch and balance. i have cobra S3000 iron set (Pretty much just decent) but im looking into getting a new set by next year... what would be the recommendation for my style of play. im a good driver (avg 270 to 300) with fair control but seem to struggle with my long irons.... i have a feeling the ping G or I 15 would be great but dont know if i should invest or wait until i get a lot better... any advice?
