I was watching a match ,when a ball trickled off the fairway ,across a footpath & just stopped short of out of bounds. The player asked me if he was entitled to a drop & I said only if you are stood on the path, which he wasn't as a right handed golfer. I said ,"if you'd been left handed ,you would have been stood on the path ,and entitled to a drop. He then brings out a left handed iron that he carries in the bag , for chipping out. Therefore using the left handed club ,he was stood on the path. He didn't bother about having a drop but was he entitled one ,if he played with a left handed club??
