Admitted shaft novice here, I recently did a full fitting for the top end of my bag and came out with driver/3w/utility iron with the HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 6.5 70/80/100g. I am absolutely loving the feel of the new shafts/clubs and am wondering if I could get close to the same feel through my irons and wedges. I've been fit in the past but didn't have a great experience, but I'm really seeing the benefit now. I've played KBS Tour 130x in my irons and 120s in my non set wedges for as long as I can remember. I'm coming off of shoulder surgery and have hand issues (RSI) so I'm currently down ~5-10mph in SS so I opted to try out the Tour Lite 105x in my irons. They feel familiar to the 130x and I do like the extra spin, but if anything looking to get a little less height if that means taking a bit more SS hit. I asked the fitter and they have Steelfiber, Steelfiber Private Reserve, Steelfiber FC, MMT, KBS TGI and LA Golf A-Series for graphite iron shafts. Are there any others I should be looking at that would either be close the the RDX Black or KBS Tour in feel? Are these on opposite ends of the shaft "spectrum"? Anyone jumped from KBS Tour to any of these? Any input is welcome!
