... Good stuff. 👍 I find about 500 or so a year and donate them all to First Tee. A personal charity cause is probably even more rewarding. Also good points on index levels as well as experience. Playing to a + index I want to be absolutely sure my results are swing related and not equipment related. And as I have stated, I start every round with a new ball, unless I lost a ball or had one damaged and the ball I finished my round with still looks almost new. But the desert takes a toll on golf balls and it is just part of the cost of playing year round.
... I would also add while I stand by my negative opinions of used balls, I do not take any umbrage with those that choose to use them not would I try and talk them out of the preferred personal choices. As you mentioned there are plenty of reasons to be perfectly happy with used balls and as always You Do You.
