  1. 100% agree. The main reason i was looking into this was due to using shot scope and them using specific tags on each club, im more than happy to just call them by the loft but when there is only PW, GW, SW, LW tags it got me thinking if im actually carrying two PW or two GW, i think because of the stronger lofted PW im now actually carrying two gap wedges to fill the 'gap' to what i used to call scoring wedges. Like i mentioned its a very trivial post/conversation but fun to see what others are doing. I used to carry a 52',56' and a 60' but have taken the 60' out so im not walking around with 5 wedges in the bag. Will give me chance to be a bit more creative with the 56'.
  2. Sounds like a plan, 5-GW then a 52 and a 56 then the option to add in a 60' in the summer with a little lees bounce.
  3. Sounds good, how you getting on with the UST Mamiya Recoil 95 F4 shafts? I've ordered a couple of wedges with those shafts and looking forward to trying Graphite in the wedges.
  4. Lol, yeah was asking for that. After a bit more looking I did find plenty of posts on the same subject . Once the new GW arrives I’ll do a few gapping sessions and see which lofts I need to put in the bag to hit my desired yardages. (Probably end up calling them P1 and P2 )
  5. Just received my eagerly awaited JPX 923 HM irons (PW-5i) and absolutely love them. Only issue is they have created a big gap at the bottom of my bag due to the strong lofts and power off the face, so much so that on a solid strike the new PW can go roughly the same as my old 8i. I was playing a CBX Zipcore 46' as my PW before with a 52' as my Gap wedge, now the PW is 42.5' so if i maintain my current GW at 52' there is a big gap from 42.5 up to 52'. My plan is it add the set specific GW (48') and keep a 52' and a 56' specialist wedges. Question is what do you call the 52' wedge that sits between the GW and 56' Sand wedge?? JPX HM PW - 42.5' JPX HM GW - 48' Ping Glide 52' - What do i call this second GW?? Ping Glide 56' - Sand/Lob Wedge Very trivial question i realise but just wondered what peoples thoughts were and if they have had the same issues with strong lofted irons.
