Hi. I've been playing golf for about 25 years. I got into playing by watching my dad as a kid and now am looking to get my kid into golf as well. I'm play a couple times a month on an actual course, but play 3 to 4 times a week on my simulator in the garage.
Current bag and how they got in there:
Driver: Titleist TSi2 9.0 - dialed down to 8.0. Tensei Blue Stiff shaft
- I go through drivers the most of any club I put in my bag. I have found that the TSi is forgiving and gives me as good as distance as any other driver I have tested.
Woods: Cobra SZ Big Tour 3 wood with HZRDUS Yellow Stiff shaft
- This is my go to club when I need something in play off the tee or a long 2nd shot on a par 5. Before I got my Titleist driver, I really struggled to get the ball in play so I went with this 3 wood. I'm going to be swapping my hybrid out for a SZ 5 wood in the very near future.
Hybrid: Callaway XHot Pro 16 degree with Project X Stiff Shaft
- I got this as a buy a driver get a hybrid free about 11 years ago. It was great for my game back when I couldn't hit a wood very well, but just doesn't suit me anymore.
Irons: 4/5 iron - Taylormade P790 with KBS C Taper 110g Stiff shaft; 6-PW - 2023 Taylormade P770 with KBS C Taper 110g Stiff shaft
- I recently upgraded from Taylormade Sim max irons. As a 13 handicap, I'm consistent enough that I was looking to get a little more flight control out of my irons than my old game improvement irons were giving me. I went with the combo set of P790s for my 4 and 5 to get a little more forgiveness and the P770s for 6 - PW for better control.
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM8 48* (10F), 54* (10S), 58* (08M)
- As I'm sure is the case with a lot of folks here, these are my favorite clubs in the bag. I absolutely love the control I get with these. I upgraded to the from my Taylormade Sims and an old 60 degree because I got tired of missing the green from 100 yards and in. So far, they have definitely helped me improve in that area.
Putter: 2021 Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 with Superstroke Flatso 3.0
- I gamed the original Scotty Cameron Futura for a long time. A couple years ago, I decided to upgrade. I'm a JT fan, so I gave the Phantom X 5 a try and really like it.
I'm looking forward to being part of the community and learning.
