  1. I live on a golf course and for the past couple years when the weather permits I'll try and walk the back nine in the mornings. For about the past 6 months I've taken 1 or 2 clubs with me on my walk. The first few holes I never strike the ball well but usually by the end of the walk I am. So now I just walked the first three or four holes and then start hitting balls. The point of this is that one of my hurdles is frustration would you hit the ball poorly you get frustrated and doesn't make you want to continue so for me I have to warm up before I start striking balls. Slow is smooth and smooth as fast
  2. I was looking for some new irons. I had some calloway steelheads that were about 20 years old. Went in for my first golf club fitting. We narrowed it down between the ping g430 is in the Cobra tech x irons. Both are players clubs and have a huge sweet spot. I enjoyed both clubs but the loft on the ping irons was a little lower and as a result I would have to recalibrate all the clubs in my bag 2 clubs down. This also affected the wedges and they have a set of four wedges. That seemed a bit much for my handicap and skill level. I've only had the clubs for a few weeks and have enjoyed hitting with them. I still pull and push the ball occasionally but for the most part if I hit it near the sweet spot it falls in a tight grouping pattern. Please let me know if you have any tips or tricks on club fittings and testing irons.
