  1. This one is definitely relative in my opinion.

Here in the Winston Salem, NC area, you can still find plenty of options <$70 per round range (with a fair number of $40-50 options).  I would consider that to be a reasonable value for the courses in the area that I have played at least.

That said, we just moved here from Orlando, FL and that place has exploded.  Good luck finding much of anything <$100 per round unless its twilight golf.  The Disney courses made the jump a few years back and it seems like everyone else followed suit.  Now, to be fair the courses are quite a few steps above what I have locally now, but over $100 to play 18 is a hard sell I think.

  2. Hi all -

Just wanted to toss out a quick post about my upcoming Denver golf trip. We are all set to play Fossil Trace, Arrowhead, Bear Dance, and Plum Creek.

Does anyone have any recommendations/thoughts/tips on those courses?  I have read a ton of info on how much further the ball "should" fly - anxious to see what that looks like for me coming from NC.  Beyond that though, I just can't wait to see some of these insane layouts!

  3. To be honest, I’m slow to the fairway wood train. Just added a 5 wood recently to fill the gaps I have in yardage. That said, I’ve also been entertaining the idea of dropping my 3 hybrid in place of a 7 wood. A ton of good use-case info in here. Thanks everyone!
