I came up with an old Ping B60 putter for just a few bucks, had to buy it of course. It’s a bit beat up and I wanted to give a shot at restoring / customizing it.
I’m interested in an oil can finish. To my understanding, the putter is made of BeCu. Does anyone have any experience if it can be heat treated with no problems? I’m aware of the possible toxins when sanding, but does heat ruin any properties of the material or does the oil can treatment even stick on the putter?
