Exactly what I thought. After I posted I decided to go to their shop and mess with the material and give it a try. One thing that really stuck out to me and bothered me was the when putting I could hear the ball rolling on the material and in my mind that meant friction was being applied that changed the roll. I left with a material sample and when I got home compared it to my no name brand hitting mat I have in my garage, lo and behold it felt exactly the same to both my hands and feet. For the price they want, I’ll pass. Now to find a putting mat I really like in my garage.

I am looking for some feedback on home use putting greens, specifically the Pro Putt Systems. I have the space in the garage and the funding to do it, however I am hesitant to spend the money when there are many other competitors that are significantly cheaper. Is the Pro Putt Systems really that much better? For reference I am looking for a 6x12 model to use solely in my garage. I have two young daughters who I am hoping to eventually get into the game as well, albeit that is a few years off as the oldest is only 3 but I am sure the a putting green in the garage offers a good opportunity to get them involved.
