  1. True, but it certainly doesn't hurt. I wonder if the tests used new or old wedges to compare?
  2. There are a lot of club refurbishes these days that you can send that to for re-plating. That being said, it will rust and look nice over time if you're into that look. Some people swear that it adds spin.
  3. The best thing you can do is get fitted. Then you will at least know what shaft and lie angle is best for your game. There probably will be DTC sets similar to what worked for you. The worst feeling is getting excited for a newly purchased set, and finding out on the course that they're wrong for your game.
  4. Agreed on their apparel. It seems like it's more geared towards the European market. It might get better over time, but right now its pretty pedestrian, and not geared towards their customer base in NA. Some of the limited edition stuff is awesome though.
  5. It would be based off of you club head speed. If it is sub 105 on average you need a softer ball for distance. It's all about compression, so it depends on your swing. I am a big fan of Vice balls, and they have a fitting tool on their website that might be worth checking out. The price points and performance have been great. Personally I'm in the 110-115 range so I use the Pro-plus and that works really well for me distance wise. Also, I haven't tried them yet, but Maxfli just came out with a tour ball that has been picking up traction lately as being a really good ball.
  6. I've used both, but ended up just going with the standard +4 reduced taper grips. I tended to have a lot more miss hits with the mid-sized grips, but it's really a feel thing. I would measure your hands first to make sure what the recommended size is, and then regrip one of your mid irons with it for a range session to see if you like it or not.
  7. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in as long as it's to the courses dress code. I personally don't like the look, but it seems to be coming back into style now.
  8. Wow, these are seriously impressive! You can tell how much effort and skill went into the design. It might be worth exploring a kick-starter to see what kind of response there is. A lot of smaller DTC brands are getting popular now which is great.
