You are correct. A .370” parallel tip shaft is the same outside diameter from the tip to approximately 5” up the shaft toward the butt end. If you cut anything off the tip of a .335” taper shaft it’s not going to fit in the hosel of the iron. I’d be weary of what they are telling you.

Has anyone purchased the iron graphite shafts that mggolf.com has for $4.99 each. Before jumping in and saying you get what you pay for or any other negative comments, I am assembling this inexpensive set of irons as a donation to a charity auction where I’m donating all the components and labor. I received these a few days ago and they did not come with a tip trim sheet. The guy at MG Golf acts like I’m speaking a foreign language when I called and asked about it. I can overcome that part by getting a good average across several different .370 parallel shafts, but my biggest problem is the raw length. The 3 iron with no tip trim or butt cut is barely mens standard length. Has anyone used these shafts before? This issue will obviously get better as I move to the shorter clubs. Thanks
