  1. Great suggestions, the hybrid idea sounds like a good idea. I do like the stand legs as the balancing act is not always easy. Though I saw a Ping Traverse at the pro shop and it sat with no issues in the controlled environment there. I’m going to look at some hybrid options. And the Hot Z, I don’t think I’ve heard of it.
  2. That was about the best answer I could have hoped for. You hit everything and I really appreciate it!
  3. Hey all. I’m looking for a new bag. I primarily ride, occasionally walk with a push cart. I carried once this year. So that said, I have a stand bag, it’s old and heavy, I definitely did not enjoy carrying it. I was thinking of either a cart bag or a nice stand bag that works well with carts like the Ping Hoofer 14 (it has cart strap pass through among other features). Any recommendations? I’m all over the place. The Vessel, Ghost, Sun Mountain, and Ping cart bags all look nice. Seems like Vessel is the most recommended. Costco also has the Stitch cart bag for cheap, but it seems like a hassle to use with a big pocket on one side and the smaller pockets being either tight or in bad spots. Thanks!
  4. I'm glad to finally post here. I've been lurking for a while, and always reading the reviews. I decided to start entering to be a tester for various things and figured I should finally introduce myself. I have several sets of irons from when I was younger and played a lot - Hogan Apex Plus, Callaway X-12 Pro Set (my older son is using these), and a few others. When I decided to get back into golf, I started with the Hogans, then decided to buy used stuff to get more modern tech (stronger lofts, more forgiveness, etc). So my entire bag has been bought used, I just need to pick a new bag one of these days too. Once I'm more consistent, I'll see about getting fit for a set too. And to get there, I've been looking at starting some lessons - I've never had one in my life, I learned from my dad and it's always worked for me. He still plays in 2 leagues, and has won them both multiple times. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I've been golfing since I was little. I played as a kid, then high school. I played pretty regularly until I had kids then I took about 14 years off while my kids were younger. As I'm still getting back into the swing here, I'm shooting high 80s to mid 90s - pretty inconsistent. What do you love about golf? That I can get out and play a round with my kids and my dad. It's fun to spend time with the 3 generations on the course. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? 100% of the time when I search for golf related reviews, GolfSpy is at the top of the list. I don't know any other Spies. Where are you from? What is your home course? Eden Prairie, MN. I don't know that I have a home course, but the two I play the most are Braemar and Stonebrooke. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Minnesota can have a long winter, so courses are packed in the spring. What do you do for a living? I'm in software development. How’d you pick your user name? Last name shortened - used on Xbox and other things that need screen names too (usually with numbers or something to make it long enough).
