  1. I’d go with Hogan because of the cost and how much I love the Icon irons despite being a high handicapper. And the looks don’t hurt either. I’ve demoed the 4-wood and driver and though I’m not crazy about them, I think that’s a swing issue and a not a club problem. Giving up my 8802 putter would be a problem though My OCD wife would be thrilled at the uniformity.
  2. I’m a writer in Austin who’s picked up the game again after about 20 years. Never had a lesson until two months ago. Right now I’m a solid 28 handicap. I was a good athlete as a kid and golf was just harder. There’s a greater variety of skills and the choices that come with each shot make it a more intellectual exercise than a reactive one.
