Since 1978 to 1983, Owner Toshi (Kusuhara) gained professional experience and insight as golf equipment sales manager at the renown Walter Keller Golf Shop & School.

After gaining further experience as a Engineering Manager at Kyocera Internatuinal Inc for many years Toshi and his wife established a small business under the name of “Fairway Golf & Tennis†in July of 1991. His fascination of golf physics and structure of golf clubs originates from his humble studies in engineering in high school and Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto all the way to giant companies like Kyocera. Toshi has built a reputation for both himself and Fairway Golf that is based on attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality of products based on their engineering and technology.

Here at Fairway Golf, Toshi has built a team of golf experts that not only know and play the game to a very high level, but also understand the fundamental details of golf dynamics which give players an edge on the course. In 1992, Toshi started to promote Scotty Cameron Putter to collector’s markets and successfully, Scotty Cameron putter became a best quality brand, used by top PGA Tour Putters today.

Fairway golf established a Southern California Golf Association （SCGA）Fairway Golf Club in 1992; throwing a monthly golf tournament, currently counting non-stop for 18 years!

From 1994, started the world wide web under fairwaygolf.com. We also expanded in 2002 fairwaygolfusa.com officially opened to public as a e-golf shop with over 40,000 products to choose from.
