Potentially big news for performance tracking & GPS watch fans
SirShankalot replied to SirShankalot's topic in Training Aids, GPS Devices, Apps, Accessories & More!
I'm really looking forward to getting it in October. The reviews for V1 are really good so if they've built on that, then I see no reason why it will not be money well spent. -

Has anyone placed a pre-order for Shot Scope V2 yet? I think I'm going to do it today! -

That is what I am thinking as well. I had been looking at the Sky Caddie Linx GT but this seems to blow Sky Caddie out the water due to the fact there is no tagging. -

From what I'm reading V1 didn't give distances to the green and V2 does -

This is a new version which has the added benefit of live GPS distances, it was just launched today. -

I have just seen that Shot Scope a performance tracking company from Scotland have released an upgraded model. They have released a watch that incorporates live GPS distances along with performance tracking and there is no need for any tagging. I think it looks great and could potentially be a real player! https://shotscope.com -

I've just seen on Twitter that a company called Shot Scope have released a performance tracking watch with built in GPS. It also says that there is no tagging involved. I think I may just just have found the performance tracker for me. Here is a link if anyone else is interested in having a look https://shotscope.com -
I'm going to get fitted this weekend but was just looking to see what people were playing with and like. It's just more out of curiosity than anything else.

Comfortable Golf Shoes
SirShankalot replied to SirShankalot's topic in Golf Apparel (Fashion & Style)
I play most of my golf in Scotland so I'll probably have to go with spiked -
I've been having a look for a new pair of golf shoes but not really sure what to go for. I've heard good things about Skechers but at the moment they don't really design a shoe that I like the look of. Does anyone have any recommendations?

This is true but it was just to get a general feel for what people were liking at the moment.

Excellent! I'll keep any eye on the results! -
I do like the look of the Cobra drivers but I've not heard of many people actually using them. I did try out the M2 for a short while and liked it, however, I didn't see a huge improvement when it came to length.

I've read quite a bit about the Cobra driver that uses Arccos but I've not seen anybody using one yet. You'll need to let me know how you get on with it because I do like the look of the Cobra driver. -

It would be good to try out the different performance trackers before going ahead and buying one. I think they all have their good points but currently none of them are really the complete package. I think I'll maybe do a bit more research on the Skycaddie system and see what other users say.
