A couple of years ago I started occasionally playing 9 holes due to time constraints. I started doing this more and more and was shooting pretty decent scores, until I went to play 18 again. My back 9 score was terrible, while the front 9 was the same as what I had been seeing. This happened a couple more times and I realized it was fatigue showing up because I wasn't conditioned for that many holes. I now try to mix it up a lot more, and have noticed my back 9 scores are in line with my front 9 again. Just something to keep in mind.

I have always been intrigued by the traditional (and respectful) nature of golf. I would like to see the game grow, but I would hate to see that at the cost of losing those values. I have been at courses where I've seen guys in cutoffs and tee shirts, and I must say something about it felt cheap and disappointing. Maybe I'm simply old fashioned. I do feel like dressing down and not caring what you wear lends itself to promoting that same attitude in how you play. This leads to an overall lack of attention to the small things that make the game fun for everyone, such as repairing ball marks and so forth.
