  1. Plastic if I’m buying but I can’t walk past a tee on the ground without picking it up.
  2. I generally think there’s an issue with getting clubs based on one fitting. Since I’m not a professional (or a scratch golfer for that matter), my swing may be different from one day to the next. I don’t really know if that’s my everyday swing or not. I also am very sensitive to my clubs feeling different, so the right club may not be right for the first 5-10 swings. I’ve recently been doing my own research then buying used. I figure whatever the delta between buying and reselling is equal to the fitting with better results.
  3. At my home course, the further you move up, the tighter the tee shots get. I find I play better from further back just because there is more room to miss. I’m not particularly long off the tee either. I just find it more difficult to thread the ball through a dog leg.
  4. Traction is great. Probably on par or better than any of my spiked shoes. Extremely well made and look as good in person as they do online. Worth the money compared to Footjoy. I was really disappointed in the quality of the leather on the premiers.
  5. If it’s a casual round, I think it’s fun to see how long I can use the same ball. I’ll use the same ball until it looks like a beat up range ball. Typically, I lose about a half a golf ball a round. For more competitive rounds, I’ll replace the balls once they’re scuffed. That’s normally 2-3 balls per round. Still carry 9 balls just in case. I can’t convince myself to have less than that in my bag.
