  1. I was thinking the exact same thing @William P!
  2. @Byrnzee, congrats! Here's to at LEAST 500 more!
  3. Yeah, he was a "dip" for my Redskins, for sure. Albeit, I also had the WORST owner in the NFL to deal with. I just consider the Dan Snyder years my "Dark Ages", and I'm glad they're over and done with. Time to look up to a brighter future for my 'Skins! (Not sure what the other team name is, and don't care... lol!)
  4. Good morning MGS Nation! Had a bit of a rough night, woke up around 0300 with a splitting headache and a drenched in sweat bed. No idea what the trigger was: took some migraine medicine and went to try and finish the night up on the couch. Still pushing that monster back, but nowhere near as bad as last night. Pollen? Who knows. Never had any allergies before, but maybe it's catching up to me. On the brighter side of the news, L.A.B. Golf sent the email that the DF3 is going into production! Can't wait to get into the comparison with the Spider! For those who haven't seen this, the "Revealer" is quite interesting and amazing! Of course, when I saw my putter "revealed", it raised a lot of questions and I can't wait to do the side by side comparison! I hope everyone has an incredible day and that golf figures into your plans! Hit 'em straight MGS Nation! 🏌
  5. Great thought @Northern Monkey: working in the automotive business my entire life we would take fuel samples from vehicles as well. You'd be shocked at how much other crap, including water, can be in fuel systems. The filters can only scrub out so much. Hope it's relatively painless @sirchunksalot!
  6. I agree @ParFore74x! Other than league play, I probably wind up golfing 90% of the time at sunrise. There is just something about the course early in the morning, birds chirping and the nice walk that accompanies.... just soothes the soul.
  7. Got the email I was waiting for! Where's that Anticipation meme again?! "Hi Steve, Thank you for your order! We're excited to let you know that your order 1570834 has been successfully received and is now in our production queue. Our current lead time for custom orders is 5-6 weeks. For stock orders and small packages, we aim to ship within 5 -10 days of your order. Note: Some stock models may vary on lead time due to inventory. If you have any questions or need to make changes to your order, please reach out to us promptly at [email protected]. Please indicate "Order Change" in the subject line. Kindly note that you have a 14-day window from the order date to request any modifications. After this period, we will no longer be able to accept changes, and a restocking fee may apply. We will send you another email when your putter enters production, as well as a further email when your putter is ready to ship, with all relevant tracking information."
  8. Great question @RomanG. My son takes our 5 year old grand daughter to play with him during the week after school and she loves it! I guess the biggest thing is if your son has interest, personally, I'd say let him have at it and teach him everything YOU know! Then, maybe ask a pro their opinion as well? But, if the fire is already lit, that's great! You've already gotten over the biggest hurdle!
  9. That's great news @Samuel09152! We had a Yellow Labrador Retriever that had a lump under one of his ears, and it didn't turn out well. He did have cancer and we unfortunately had to put him to rest. I was no good for a long time: they are family. My wife and I discussed it and we can't do the emotional stress any more. We are just enjoying friends dogs at this point. I couldn't go through that again. I'm very happy to hear that your situation is a positive one!
  10. @GolfSpy_KFT, having kids that aren't feeling well it tough! Hope they get to feeling better soon!
  11. Good chilly Thursday morning fellow spies! Nice hot cup of Earl Grey with just a touch of honey is knocking back the wake up 39deg brrrrrrr! League play last night... will definitely NOT be in third place after what was probably the worst round of 9 holes this year so far. The only thing working was my putting: 19 putts in 9 holes, so I can't complain there! It just took me forever to GET to the green! My partner didn't fair much better. It was chalked up to "we had a great time in each other's company!" We were paired with a group of young men from one of the local high school teams, and I am very happy to say, the future of golf looks very bright! They were both very respectful and could seriously hit! I definitely felt all of my 60 years of age! I'm on the left: my partner Rich who plays with me in league on the right. Back to work on the approach game... I hope everyone has an incredible Thursday and hope golf figures into your plans! Hit 'em straight MGS Nation!
  12. Good morning MGS Nation! Today will get to the home range at lunch to do some driver work. Was able to get home yesterday at lunch (was planning on doing driver work, but wanted to work my flatball drills.) Was able to get a decent video of the flatball striking sequence. I like these as it helps with better contact: they essentially make you hit more pure. They've helped me immensely with my iron striking! Flatball swing.mp4 Then, league play this afternoon! I hope everyone has a great day and that golf figures into your Wednesday! Hit 'em straight MGS Nation!
  13. too funny: I say "wed-nes-day" in my head as well!
  14. L.A.B. contacted me back last night, Calvin has been a huge help to me! Unfortunately, the blending of "EE" and "X" alignment aids is not doable as there is too much overlap in the designs. No worries! They will, however, use "X", which is the L.A.B. logo and add a centered line on the back of the putter. I wanted to have a marker on the rear of the putter head for not only ball alignment, but swing plane as well. I have to say, L.A.B. has been a pleasure to work with thus far! Very communicative and chock full of information! Speaking with Calvin altered my decision just a bit: the final build is this. Black putter head Head weight: heavier TPT shaft 35” shaft length (per fitting recommendation) 67 degree lie angle (per fitting recommendation) Alignment aid “X” with line centered on back side of putter head Press Pistol 2 degree grip Can't wait to get this and start working with it!
