  1. Hello MySpyGolfers! Question(s) for you today: I want to cut my driver down from 45" to 44.25" but I also don't want to mess up the shaft, weight, etc. The driver in question is a Ping G430 Max with a VA Composites Vylyn 65 Four Stiff Shaft. My average driver swing speed is 107mph and getting faster. I'm thinking the best way to do this, would be to cut half an inch off the butt of the shaft, and then a quarter of an inch off the tip. My thought is that this would maintain the same or near as makes no difference for amateur golfer the rigidity of the club. Then I'd purchase some tungsten weights for the G430 and add accordingly. The current weight in the back of the head is 25grams (Stock), so I'm thinking I'd get a 31 gram weight or 34 gram. Any thoughts from experts here would be massively appreciated. Cheers!
  2. Hello MySpy folks! First time poster here in the forum, and looking to get your knowledge on this. My girlfriend is relatively new to golf. She's played for 1 season but is taking lessons and getting properly good quickly! Looking to get her a new driver for her birthday, but struggling a bit as she's small in height at only 5 foot 2 inches, but also quiet powerful. I think she'd greatly benefit using a 43 inch driver, but possibly an A-Flex instead of a ladies flex since she's got some power and speed. My plan is to measure her actual club speed in the bay to confirm this. Since she's still a novice at golf, I don't think she'd get a ton of benefit seeing a fitter. Any suggestions where to look? I did see that Wilson offers a lot of customization for little to no extra fees. Cheers!
