I think it conforms and and as someone mentioned above part of a package set.  Might be European specific.

Need to find the driver head/shaft combo that works for you.  Just take the XHot+ driver with you and compare to the various offerings.   Since it was part of a package set it is probably a pretty soft generic shaft that is intended to work for a large population of golfers;  shouldn't be hard to find something that matches.

    Great idea, thanks 👍🏼

Ahh OK, now I know. That looks like the driver that came with the 10pc box set that Callaway released in 2016.

Thanks! That helps the google search! The next challenge would be to find the closest match shaft to Callaways own shaft on this driver then?

Will look to get a driver fit to identify the most suitable shaft as I am sure the Epic Max has the tech to outperform the x2 hot+!

Do you happen to mean the Pro?

As with most pro models they are a lower spinning and in theory a less forgiving driver. More boom or best potential. It could be that you are just a better fit for low spin driver heads and the others you have been playing are higher spin. The shaft will also play a role and could be something that really worked for you in the Xhot compared to later drivers.

Thanks for the reply… but no, not the pro. I’ve attached some photos to the thread.

  4. Some of the differences I’ve managed to find (x2 hot / x2hot+) below:

    aldila shaft / callaway shaft

    rrp - £279 / £199

loft adjust (removable head) / no adjusment

maybe its a slightly more affordable version?

Usually, back in the day, when companies did a plus model, it meant the head was above the CT limit and was non conforming. I didn't find any X2 Hot+ drivers on the USGA conforming list so maybe that's it?

    A picture would help too.

  6. I have a Callaway X2 Hot+ Driver. Got on ok with it but decided to upgrade to something newer. Used an Epic Max for a while now and tried both XR and GBB Epic also.

None of them have come close to distance of the biggest drive of the X2 Hot+ by about 20y I reckon. Maybe a fluke drive? But just wondered what the deal is with the hot+?

There is absolutely no info available on the hot+ range so I have no idea who this club is aimed and why I get on so well with it. All I know is that it has no adjustability compared to x2 hot driver and a standard Callaway shaft.

Does anyone know anything about it versus the standard X2 hot driver?
