I think the problem with this statement is that each generation looks at the younger generation and makes this same kind of point. Keep in mind that everyone wore suits with formal hats to baseball games for decades. Decades. They would look upon us in our polo shirts, khaki shorts, spikeless shoes and baseball hats and think we were a bunch of poor, unprofessional idiots.
Music and informal attire will become the norm although I do think managing the volume should be a reasonable ask. Even tiger has worn the no collar shirts in PGA events. The current golf shorts (and all shorts for that matter) are shorter don't qualify for country club dress codes today. So, I can't where my $100 tighter fitting Travis Matthew dryfit golf shorts on the course? We need to adapt.
