  1. I've got a buddy that's begging me to set up a Hilton Head golf trip for next summer as well! We played tennis in college and our team would travel down to Hilton Head for a weeklong tournament every year. Unfortunately, I rarely ever played golf during our tennis season because the swings are so different. However, I did play Hilton Head National one year and I agree with you... for the price that was a great course! With that being said Harbour Town and Atlantic Dunes are on my bucket list. Also, as someone who loves Pete Dye courses Heron Point is on my list as well! For another cheaper option I also heard really good things about Old South Links while I was down there, but I think that course was actually in Bluffton and not Hilton Head.
  2. This is crazy! I've been spoiled with pace of play as far as my dad and I golf every Saturday and Sunday at our home course, and we make sure we get the first tee time of the day. We typically play a round somewhere between three and three and a half hours. Any time we travel and play a new course it makes even a four hour round feel like forever. Like many of the other guys are saying it's pretty rare to see a marshal actually out there keeping up pace, so my go to move is to drive right past a slow group and keep the round moving! (and any skipped hole is obviously a par haha)
  3. What's up guys I'm a new member on here, so forgive me if something is wrong with my first post! I just wanted to stop in and ask if anybody else games the Mizuno Pro 225's and if so, what your thoughts on them were? I've noticed since the beginning of this summer that these irons will randomly jump out of the fairway and send me flying over the green. For example, I typically play a stock pitching wedge around 155 and on Sunday I hit two pitching wedges 35 yards over the green (~185 yards total). These shots do not result from thin mishits and each time the ball was out of the center of a low-cut fairway. I finally bit the bullet and listed the irons for sale as I'm tired of missing greens after hitting what I thought was a pure shot, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a rash decision. I know this is a common problem with hollow-body irons, but I'd love to hear about anything you all have noticed and any advice on my next iron set (I'm almost sold on the Callaway X Forged CB's, but not completely).
