  1. Ventus Blue Velocore 6s shoterend to 45 inches. I have tried others... but come back to this one.
  2. Well, like I said earlier I was able to get out twice...once on Friday and once on Saturday. Here on the Oregon Coast we are able to play all year (especially if you have good rain gear). I have played the BRX before and I like the characteristics of the golf ball. It has been a ball I play very often. Now on to the addition of the Mindset... Playing the Mindset ball worked for me on tee shots. I could aim the arrows in the direction I wanted to start the ball and could then concentrate on the dot. Because we have gotten so much rain we are playing lift clean and place, so I also able to get my hands on the ball from the fairway to help aim the shots to the green. Worked Great!!! When I got to the greens, that is where I had issues. I would use the arrow again to line up the putt, however when I concentrated on the dot, I lost focus in my mind on distance control of the putt. I found that the more I focused on the dot, the less I focused on the distance control. So Fridays round ended up not as good as I thought it would be....but I still had hope for Saturday. Saturday starts off again... hitting it well from tee to green, but the focus was still giving me issues on the green. So I started using 2 balls on the back nine. Alternating from using the dot to not on every putt. To keep it fair, I switched between which ball went first.... For me (and maybe because I am a mental midget on the greens) the not using the dot was the winner on distance control. I can keep a picture in my head of the distance of the putt better not looking at the dot. I will continue to use the dot to see if I get use to it moving forward.... but on judging on the first 2 rounds, i was better without the dot. Maybe if the dot was smaller and there wasn't so much going on, who knows. But I definitely liked the dot from the tee and from the fairways. I'll let you know how it goes next time. thanks Robert
  3. I received my package of golf balls in the mail yesterday. Like a kid in a candy store, I ripped open the boxes and locked at the Mindset logo on the ball. Very interesting to say the least. I have played the B RX before and have liked it's overall performance as a golf ball...but what is intriguing me is its use of the logo for putting. I can say I am not the greatest putter out there and am always looking for something to help me. Be it the Tour Response Stripe, Taylormade TP5X Pix, Srixon Q Star Tour Divide... I've tried them all. I found that sometimes with the lines on the ball I try to sneak a peek and see if the ball is rolling true, which makes me lift out of the putt early to see. Anyway, I look forward to getting these on the course and going through the process, especially in the greens and from the tee boxes (Friday and Saturday). I'll let you all know how it goes. thanks again for the opportunity!
  4. Normally if I get a scuff mark, be it from a tree, cart path, or wedge... I will grab another.
  5. I use a Titleist TSR2 10* head with a Ventus Blue Velocore 6S at 44.5 in. long. Very consistent fairway finder and not bad for distance with my 100 mph swing speed.
  6. I enjoy watching Ian Fraser and Mike Martysiewicz from Golf Champion formally TXG. I have also recently found Simon Cooper from Precision Golf very enlightening on fittings. I just wish they were closer to my area, because it would be fun to see them in person for a fitting. They seem to give way more expert advise than the fitters I have been to.
  7. I've been gaming the Maxfli Tour. You can't beat the price for that performance.
  8. Always, always the putter. I am rotating a Bettinardi 8w and a Scotty Cameron Phantom 5 s. My putters are always on the chopping block.
