  1. Been here since Oct 2022. Have PLB in driver;fairway, 9, 11, & 5UW. Have converted at least a dozen other low to middle hcp players. Have an 84 yr old now getting on the par 5's in 3 again. Something he had not done in over 10 years. Still working with no intention of ever going back! HCP has gone from 6 to 3 just because of gains from PLB shafts in my opinion. Tucson, Az
  2. Re: PLB in FW's. Have L flex in Driver. Put PLB A flex in 5 wood. Nothing but sweetness.
  3. Golfworks: Been using it for years. Very simple. Insert - pour grip solvent down - work it around and up and down. https://www.golfworks.com/search.aspx?ss=grip+remover+tool
  4. I put a 45 Play length into my ZX7 for long, open, par 4's and 5's with 10 - 15 yards further. Put a 44 play length into my ZX5 - for tight par fours; and put a 42 Play length into my TSI2 5 wood. I can use the 44 ZX5 off the deck with ease - took my 3 wood out of the bag as the 44 ZX5 gives me my former length but much tighter dispersion. All have GPLB 45 shafts butt trimmed. L flex in the drivers; A flex in the 5 wood. I love to "tinker" especially when the results really pay off. Irons next?? Maybe. It has been since the original Great Big Bertha came out (1980's) since I have had so much fun.
  5. Bobbers My driver experiment is really working and I have read you are trying out the Otto in your irons. My question is did you get different shafts (maker/model/weight) for your irons? My 6 iron speed is in the 70-80 mph range (I am 75 still hit 6 iron 160+ total). All I can find in the Otto range is 45-50 gram and not recommended for s/speed greater than 50. Thanks for all of your input on the forum. You really are well informed, or, should I say experienced. Thanks for your help
  6. Anyone try GPLB 45 in a 3 wood? Success? Longer shaft length used than standard 43"? Got one in my zx5 driver at 45.5" with D 0. Based on success with that thinking of doing it to 3 wood.
  7. GPLB Shaft 45 - Billy Bob's $49.99 last week when I got mine + $7 shipping
  8. I was extremely skeptical since I have always played stock in my 65 years of playing. Today 75 years old. hcp still 4 - 6. very competitive when I was younger. Tried the GPLB in my Srixon zx 5 today. Had to counter weight shaft to get to a D1 sw. Have not hit ball sooo well in many years. Distance is back to 10 years ago, slight draw after 125 yds. I have drank the kool-aid. Do not even have to swing very fast and ball just flies. Looking at the PXG offer. Anyone got results to post? Anyone made this change to a fairway metal?
