🚨 Testers Wanted! 🚨

TWSM10-Feature.jpg

The new Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges were released in March of this year and have been a popular addition to many golfers' bags since. We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.

About The Vokey SM10 Wedges

MyGolfSpy Staff member Tony Covey has a complete breakdown of the new SM10 wedges here , which is a must-read, but the shorter version is Vokey SM10 is focused on three key elements: versatility, distance control, and trajectory, and maximizing spin. The Vokey SM10 lineup has six different grind options for a total of 25 different loft, bounce, and grind options.

This includes the M Grind that had previously only been available through WedgeWorks and T Grind that has also made its way to the retail market. The other options that a golfer must choose from are the finish, and the SM10 has three of them: Tour Chrome, Jet Black, and the new addition Nickel.

There’s more though; the Vokey SM10 has refined the shape and CG placement to help optimize distance control and trajectory. This works in tandem with their spin-milled grooves that have groove geometry that varies depending on the loft to maximize spin for each loft.

Titleist Wedge Selector Tool

Of course, all of this can be a lot to take in, so Titleist offers an online Wedge Selector Tool to help simplify things. It is a series of eight questions which gather various information about your current setup and game to help make the best recommendation on what setup would be best for you. To try it yourself, go here!

What Is Being Tested?

As previously mentioned, we are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. We want you to tell us how they perform in real-world conditions and play. Importantly, we also want to know how the Wedge Selector Tool works and if the recommendations are what you would normally expect.

The selected testers will go through a Titleist Fitting for their wedge set and see how it compares to the results from the Wedge Selector Tool.

Think you are the right golfer to participate in this test?

I've never been fit for wedges. I was "given" something that my fitter thought would work four years ago when I got fit for new irons and driver. I was also still learning the game then and was pretty bad. So going back having had lessons etc might make it even more interesting. Would love to give this one a go...between actually getting fitted and being able to compare these in my garage simulator on a launch monitor with my other wedges (SM9 and Mizuno T20). Anyhow, here is the selector screenshot! Best of luck to anyone lucky enough to have this opportunity!

Currently have an AP3 48 degree, SM8 52 degree F grind, and a SM8 58 degree D grind. Wish I had the 58 in the F grind as well.

Interesting results from the selector tool. I’ve always felt like my gapping was off (particular my gap wedge) so this was confirmation.

Would love to try this out. I've always got good intentions of getting wedges fitted but never actually happensScreenshot_20240426-213310.png.a4aa517e7f731b3a3397ed0f1818122b.png

The only “Real” wedge I have is a Takomo 56 degree and I think it is great. I have hit SM8s and they are wonderful. I hope these are as good as those.

I’ve played a mixed set of hand-me-down wedges my whole golfing life so I would cherish the opportunity to test a fitted set of wedges that are the caliber of a Vokey wedge. I love the gapping that the selector tool recommends and would really look forward to trying some consistent grinds in my higher lofted wedges to get even more creative around the greens. IMG_0390.png.a0291e91a1d57edc73f297f56b5a3c53.png

This would be an amazing opportunity to test against my Ping wedges.

It will also be interesting to see how good the online wedge selector tool is compared to an in-person fitting.

Never played Vokey wedges before, have always been a Cleveland man, but my brother swears by Vokey, so would be great to test them and see if they are as good as everyone says they are. Screenshot_20240427_093854_Chrome.jpg.ee5be3454733fc3ee87f587c36938a97.jpg

My first post, hoping I get a chance to be fit and test. I’ll put my skytrak plus and local course here in Hawaii to work to test these wedges. Thanks.
