What Is Your Next Planned Golf Equipment Purchase?
Solowgolfer replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in General Equipment Talk
Looking at the Edel SMS Irons as a possibility. Got a 7 iron and love it. -
Stand bag all the way! Why not? Not like you can't easily throw it on the back of a cart or a pull cart. And at the range, a stand bag is preferable. I've always been an OGIO guy, but there are some others I have tried. End up back at OGIO. Currently using the 2023 Woodē Hybrid Bag. Zero complaints. And Ogio is great on customer service. I had a handle break on the bag and they sent me a new one at no cost as long as I sent back the one that broke.

What is the most under appreciated brand in golf?
Solowgolfer replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in General Equipment Talk
I agree with many posts here regarding Srixon/Cleveland. Although I think the Srixon ball does pretty well. I go back and forth between Taylormade TP5X and the Srixon Z-Star Divide. I see a lot of good stuff about Edel Golf but never really see them in action. I just ordered a 7 iron to try it out. Another "golf" brand that is growing, but still under -appreciated is True Linkswear. IMO, the best DTC shoe line in the business. -
Congrats all! Look forward to the feedback!

Play without hesitation. I can watch Saturday and Sunday on TV and be just fine. To be able to play Augusta would be a religious experience!

I have used a Garmin watch for years and love it. Light weight and find it to be very accurate for front-middle-back distances when comparing to friends using rangefinders. As an 11 handicap, I don't really feel like I need to know more than those 3 distances. A friend telling me a number that is 3 yards difference does not make me adjust clubs typically. I also periodically use my Arccos system. Sometimes checking to make sure it has recorded each shot becomes too distracting to my round, or maybe I forgot to charge the little device that clips on my belt. I think it is probably a good system if I could get consistent with it. I also typically will use the free version of 18Birdies. Less for distance info and more for data collection.
