  1. Match Play Teams! The first full match is completed (just a reminder, we need all 4 scores from the matchup to complete the match). Just to give you an idea of the calculation we are using for every match... here is the scoring worksheet. I have said it before and I'll say it again many times. @Golf2Much is a Saint for building the spreadsheet and gathering all the scores. You can see the level of detail he has gone into, and the amount of work he is doing to make this event happen. Norm... you truly are The Man!! THANK YOU! Match B of the Barbie Birdie Bandits @glenmore5 / @MsWalkrOfSky vs. Texas2KeyWest @MC3157 / @fozcycle Results: It came down to the last 2 holes with Team T2KW having team BBB Stymied 2 and 2 after 16. With a hole win on the 17th, Team Texas2KeyWest defeats Team Barbie's Birdie Bandits 3 and 1. We currently have Match Play Scores posted, and are tallying as we speak... but still have many scores that need to be competed by the end of the weekend. Please be sure to get your scores posted, and let your team captain know as early as possible if you aren't able to play, so an alternate can step in and complete the match scores. Thanks to all... Play Well!!
  2. Unfortunately... very manual currently. I will try to update by the end of the week
  3. Season 2 - Week 22 Virtual Championship Tour Final Results (Full Leaderboard at the top of this page) 70 scores posted this week, and the first few days of the VCT Match Play event are also included in this week's scores. Overall a great week of scoring (as usual) and participation. Low Net Score This week, we have a VCT first I believe.... A FOUR WAY TIE for 1st place. Rather than work through an arbitrary tie breaker... and in keeping with the intent of the VCT.... We will have THREE badges awarded this week - all with scores of net -7 (7 under par)!!! (Only 4 out of 5... for reasons that will become clear a bit farther down the post ) . Congratulations to: @buckpillar playing at Chapel Hill Golf Course (#subparround) @Turbo-Dad playing at Torrey Pines North (#jealous) @RoverRick playing at Sulphur Springs Country Club (#weekin_weekout_solid), and Great playing guys!!! Honorable mention to @EasyPutter for his -6 and near career round at Elma Meadows. Lowest Gross Score As I mentioned above... only 3 of the 4 "-7" scores were represented... the 4th belongs here. @Javs posted a GROSS SEVEN UNDER (-7) this week at Sun City GC-Legacy Hills. WHAT??? yes... -7 GROSS. (and with his scratch handicap... that is also a net -7, but that is less the story here... ). Just awesome @Javs Check out his clean card here (That Back Nine!! Whoooo). Almost equally impressive as @Javs score... check out the list of sub par rounds this week. These are gross scores mind you!! Worth a call out! @Bohnson @buckpillar @Randall Robbins @tbarnes80 and @GolfSpy_BNG Most Net Birdies This week we had one Member with 11 net birdies... @Lee Stanek carded ELEVEN this week. Congrats Lee and enjoy your badge for the coming week. Longest Drive A series of familiar names at the top of the Longest Drive list... and a very familiar name highlighted in Yellow. @Bohnson Unloaded with a 370 yard drive this week, to take the top spot for Longest Drive and winning the LD badge for the week. In fact 3 of the top 5 drives were recorded by @Bohnson, and honorable mention to @TylorJudd who posted the other two in the top 5... all drives of 338 or longer. Congratulations to all the winners, and HUGE thank you to all the members participating in the VCT!!!
  4. I'm with you BOS. laces for me.
  5. Really sorry to hear that . I have a few other alternates that would likely be able to fill in if there is an issue with your named alternate getting the round in. Also note to ALL team Captains... if you have a gap in your team lineup for whatever reason.... reach out... there is a lot of interest in members wanting to participate in the match play event... so should be no trouble finding a short term, or a long term fill in. ~The Commish.
  6. I had NO DOUBT that Team Questionable Judgement would be among the first to be Locked and Loaded.. haha. I think we should all be ducking for cover!! I LOVE that you added "posted correctly" to your prize outline... that may just be the overwhelming qualifier right there lol.
  7. Go ahead and post your round in last week's thread... I'm a little behind in doing the recap for last week. I'll get to it later today... but I think you can still post in last week's as long as you indicate the date. If you can't, I'll post it for you.
  8. Hey Paco, welcome to the forum and welcome to the VCT!! Late-comers are more than welcome. This is a weekly thread, and anyone that is a Forum Member can enter scores in any week. All you need is an 18 hole score, your course handicap, and a few other details... click on the "post score" button at the top or bottom on the page... enter your info from the round, post it... and Voila! you are on the leaderboard!!
  9. Date 09/05/2023 Course Name Willow Fork CC Gross Score 75 Course Handicap 5 Gross Strokes over/under par 3 Net Score to Par -2 Net Score 70 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 273 VCT Match Play Score
  10. I'm definitely torn.... I grew up in Washington State, and live in Houston... so.... The AL West is Awesome for me... and also Not so Awesome for me. I'm pulling for my boys in Seattle at the moment. But Altuve going back to back to back last night... how can you not love that?
  11. Exactly!! Haha. Carrying a MacGregor Staff bag no less!! Love that movie!!
  12. Message from The Commissioner, To ALL Match Play Participants: When posting your Match Play Rounds... You should post your round in the current week VCT Thread and select the custom field to indicate you want to use the round in the Match Play You can ALSO post your card here in the Match Play Thread along with messages to your teammates, and to your opponents BE SURE to Include your hole by hole score (a picture of your scorecard works great) BE SURE to calculate your Course Handicap for the course and tees you are playing (using your handicap index - need help... contact your Team Captain, or me or @Golf2Much we can help ). It is IMPORTANT that we also know your courses hole by hole handicap... that is how we determine which holes you get net strokes on based on your handicap (Again... a picture of the scorecard works great). BE SURE to complete at least 1 round in the Match Play event each week for the first 3 weeks (and possibly in week 4 and week 5 if your team makes the playoffs). ANY OTHER QUESTIONS... post in this thread and tag me or reach out via DM.
  13. Gary, can you give us a little more info... what is your course handicap? Or, if you know your index, but not the course handicap, what is the course name and which tees did you play? If the card shows the slope and rating somewhere on it, that would help as well. Maybe your team Captain knows all this info.. @Ben Joest? if so, let me and @Golf2Much know.
  14. Love seeing the cards here... you can also post your score (and pic of the scorecard) in the current week VCT thread. There is even a custom field to select if you want to use this score in the Match Play.
  15. No problem, that is why I wanted to check with you. thanks for verifying. Great round by the way!!
  16. Thanks Hasty... Just want to verify your course handicap... I looked up the slop/rating for Empire Ranch (White Tees) and plugged your stated handicap index (14.2) into GHIN and received this as your course handicap. I may have some incorrect assumptions (your current index, or the tees played for example). Let me know if any assumptions need changed. Thanks, VCT Commish.
  17. This feels a little like cheating... given the MacGregor Legacy and History... but these are truly DTC clubs... and if I might say... pretty awesome DTC clubs at that.
  18. . MYGOLFSPY FORUM MEMBER VIRTUAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR SEASON 2 - WEEK 23 IS NOW OPEN!! Also Open for the remainder of WEEK 1 - VCT MATCH PLAY EVENT through the Custom Field. Play Often / Post Often!!
  19. Date 09/03/2023 Course Name Willow Fork CC Gross Score 77 Course Handicap 6 Gross Strokes over/under par 5 Net Score to Par -1 Net Score 71 Net Birdies or better 6 Longest Drive 277 VCT Match Play Score I started the front nine with 3 straight bogeys, and then started hitting greens finishing the outward 9 with a 39, then started the back 9 with 4 straight bogeys - but birdied both par 5's on the inward 9 for a 38. A Roller Coaster 77.
  20. We covered each other's bogeys with nothing worse than a net par (you had more covering to do than I did haha). But that is the game of the the Ham and Egg, Partner! Great round Tom!
