  1. So I threw the tip on the Phenom last week, and I've been swinging it a little in my garage when I've been speed training. What I've found, is that to me, it feels stiffer than I expected. I need to play around a little more to see if I can get the swingweight lower with the head I'm using, as it's around D5 right now. The head is 193g with the weight removed, and I'm playing a 48g grip. I'm going to wrap some lead tape around the butt end of the shaft to see if it makes any difference. It seems a little crazy that I'm seeing the same swingweight on my normal driver with a 75g shaft and a much heavier head (~210g), but it's playing at 44.5" vs 45.75". What kind of clubhead speed increases are you guys seeing, for those that have gotten good results with the OP? I need to do some back to back testing to compare the two. Spring can't come soon enough.
  2. VR Pro Blades. If they were still making clubs, there's still be PGA Tour players using them, 12 years after they were released. And their VR Pro LE woods were also top tier. Patrick Reed used one in his Masters win 2 years after Nike stopped making clubs, and Scottie used his until it eventually broke.
  3. I think the purpose of this thread is to find an "Autoflex on a budget". Looks like the Freeflex is $650, and the Metaflex $550? Most people here are playing $50 shafts.
  4. There were a couple new ones on Ebay as of last week.
  5. I just bought a RIP Phenom 50 A flex. There's an Ebay seller with a handful of them. I used to play a Phenom 70S up until a few years ago, and it was my favorite shaft ever. I'm throwing it in an older Srixon 8° Z545 I picked up for $30. I've been playing a Z745 all summer, with very good results. I'll start swinging it right away, and work on my timing over the winter, along with some speed training, but won't be able to get any real results until the spring.
