I have a blast playing VGA events and I'm a 25 handicap. No embarassment at all. You play with guys that have a similar handicap.

I have to say a big thank you to Lacassem again. I joined after his recommendation earlier this year. I have played in about 15 tournaments over the summer and enjoyed every one of them. Played in senior regionals, state championships and regular tournaments. I have made new friends and even recruited another person to join VGA. Looking forward to the 2024 season. If you are reading this and wondering if you should join, I highly recommend it. In the Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, we have 2-3 day tournaments. Pennsylvania even did an Ironman tournament which included 5 rounds in 3 day (I think). Looking forward to Maryland VGA's three tournament Veterans Day weekend in Ocean City.

Yes. The thread convinced me to join. A fellow golfer in my Tuesday league had mentioned it but I wasn’t sure. After reading comments here, I decided to join. Don’t think I would have joined if I hadn’t found this thread.

I'm in northern Virginia. Playing Old Hickory in Woodbridge, VA. They had an outing today at Laurel Hills in Lorton, VA. Wanted to play but it was filled. Glad it was. Terrible rains today. LOL.

I joined last week and will be playing in my first event on Sunday. Weather is not cooperating. Supposed to be raining. Oh well.

That's what I was thinking but wanted to check. I would to play in a handful of these. Always like hanging with fellow vets.

Do you think this is good for high handicappers? I'm a 20-21 handicap and don't want to slow the pace of play.
