  1. Hold on....so because bad golfers want to play a cheap ball because they know they'll lose them...that makes the balls inaccurate? I honestly thought your post was sarcasm when I first read it. I find more Pro V1's than any other ball and it isn't even close...that doesn't make it a bad ball, it's just played by bad players with money at my course.
  2. Kirkland. They are no longer what they were when they were first released a few years ago, but if you want to save some $ they are perfect! $27.99 for a two dozen box. They even come in vi-vis yellow now, which is a plus for me.
  3. I love playing music on the course...but like others have said, at a reasonable volume. I play with a guy who likes his music really loud...to the point that you can't hear each other talk while in the same cart. But even then, no music will ever bother me as much as really slow play...slow play is what ruins a round of golf, not music.
  4. My most comfortable would be my Callaway Apex 3 Hybrid...210 pretty consistently and dead straight 95% of the time. Tee'd up, fairway, or decent lie in the rough...that club is like my security blanket. My least comfortable would be my Sim Max driver....when I hit it good it is awesome....The direction is my issue...some times its a slight fade, other times is a nasty pull hook. Just can't seem to get consistent with it.
  5. On a side note, I tried the gold ball that Vice came out with a couple of years ago...Not recommended, especially this year with our dry conditions...that gold ball is the EXACT color of dead grass. I think I lost 6 balls in 6 holes before switching. They do look cool though.
  6. I'm 43 years old and have noticed that in the last year or so, I have a really hard time following the flight of a white golf ball in the air...and then more trouble finding it in the rough. I switched to Srixon Z star in hi vis yellow and it makes a world of difference. I don't see many players making the switch from traditonal white to a hi vis ball... and I'm wondering why? Is it not wanting to break from tradition? Would a yellow ball mess with people's heads at set up? Are there not enough hi vis options? Does a yellow cover perform differently than a white ball...pro v comes in yellow, but I almost NEVER see people playing them. Something else?
  7. THC has so many benefits, it's hard to believe it isn't even medically available in a lot of states. But it's a states right to decide....AND, with anything like this (alcohol, THC etc), enjoy in moderation, don't drive, know your limits.
  8. For me, the best tips have all been around basic course management...know where to miss (or what danger to avoid), shoot for the center of greens and not at the pins, take your medicine when you are in a bad spot (don't go for the hero shot that almost never works)...good golf alot of times is boring golf. All of these "tips" have helped me go from a 12 handicap to a 11.8 handicap. Maybe I need lessons.
  9. I enjoy both THC and alcohol. Knowing your limits is key. I've been very drunk on the course before and my game always falls apart...when I use THC, I haven't gotten to the point where it drastically hurts my game. I seem to shoot mid 80's all the time, whether I'm totally sober or if I'm partaking in alcohol AND THC...so I say F it, if I'm gonna shoot 85 regardless, give me my vices.
  10. So, I've been reading a little bit about aimpoint putting and I am very confused. Does anyone here use aimpoint? How has it worked for you? How long did it take to determine the "feel" of the slope to assign it the correct number etc. Willing to give it a shot, as my putting has not been great lately, but I don't want to start completely from scratch and have this take like a year to develop a trust for my "read". Any input or thoughts?? Thanks
  11. It's a hybrid for me all the way...although i've never used a driving iron. I have a hard enough time hitting my 4 iron, i'd imagine a 2i/driving iron would be even more difficult.
  12. I've almost always played the white tees. I'm an 11 handicap. I joined a league this year that plays one set of tees back (not at the tips, though) and I've really enjoyed playing the longer distances...it's only 300 yards longer, but it's more of a fit for my game. NOW, going back to the tips would not go will for me...adding ANOTHER 300 yards seems like too much. So, play from where you feel comfortable, play ready golf and have fun!
  13. I played baseball and hockey growing up...so the swing path issues are burned into my muscles and very difficult to fix....I appreciate the help!
  14. I have PLENTY of swing issues!
