Testers Announced! Callaway Ai-Smoke Drivers
Statuskuo02 replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Congratulations Testers! Excited to see the results -
Removing and cleaning off the residue from the old grip tape is the toughest part. Using a heat gun helps a lot with this, just be careful of overheating the shafts. After removing the tape, I use some grip solvent or goo gone to clean the shafts to remove any residual tape, this prevents bumps in the new grip. Make sure the vise and work bench are sturdy and will not slide on you, I normally push the work bench up against a wall to prevent it from sliding. Don't be stingy on the amount of grip solvent you use. Star Grips has a nice air compressor gun to help with air installs, https://stargrip.com/products/standard-grip-installation-gun

What's Your Favorite Iron Shaft?
Statuskuo02 replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
I've been fitted into the True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 in the latest set of irons. I Tried out a handful of shafts during the fitting, but sticking with the same shaft (but newer) as what I've previously had worked the best. My swing probably have morphed to work with the Dynamic Gold shafts as this was my first fitting. I think it all depends on the player and their swing, I have buddies that hit the ball a similar distances, but plays play shafts nothing like mine. -
How long do you play a ball before retiring it?
Statuskuo02 replied to aguybadatgolf's topic in General Equipment Talk
As long as my ball doesn't decide for me, I play the ball until i see a significant scuff on them, either from a wedge shot, cart path, a tree, etc. Then it becomes a practice, scramble or bad day ball. -
I have Callaway Jaws MD5 in 50, 54 and 58 degrees, all with the S grind.
