Coming in, just before the stroke of midnight to submit my score. After hurting my back last weekend, today was my only chance to golf. It was a unique stableford event today, you can see I scored 19 - 22 : 41 But I took 2nd on the day to someone that scored 47! Anyway, looking forward to week 3!

While the group I drew wasn't able to win the match, I did win the low gross and low net so I did win some cash. This round included my first eagle in A LONG time, probably 2 years.

Date 08/23/2023 Course Name Reedsburg Country Club Gross Score 72 Course Handicap 7 Gross Strokes over/under par 0 Net Score to Par -7 Net Score 65 Net Birdies or better 8 Longest Drive 298 Shot my personal best lowest round yesterday during a match! 36 front, 36 back, even 72 with 2 bogey and 2 birdie. Nothing insane really happened during the round other than my putter being white hot! Only 5 Fairways, but was never more that 5 yards off the fairway. I missed GIR 6 times, 4 of those my chips and putts showed up to save par. Below you'll see my Arccos data, compared to a 6 HCP. Obviously every part of my game was going well, but gaining 5.3 strokes with the putter is HUGE for me.

I've included the full Arccos score card because I started +8 through 8, then I finished out with 10 par's. Simply put, I found A LOT more greens and fairways.

It's amazing how zero penalties off the tee and 37 putts can really bring a round together. ha

Despite my run of 3 birdies on 8-10, we could not pull out the win. I guess that's what happens when you go up against the former club pro. The guy just did not miss putts all day.
