I recently did some research on the best clubs for seniors with higher handicap, and decided to look at the Tour Edge Bazookas. They fit my budget and specs looked good. Went for a fitting, and the pro agreed that this boxed set would fit me well. They were moderately priced, slightly shorter, and shafts have a bit more flex than my old clubs. If my game improves significantly, I can always explore clubs more appropriate for advanced/low handicapper. That was just my personal approach without doing extensive fitting, given my handicap and budget.

Does it make sense for a high handicapper to try to use a Lob Wedge, or should they stick with the Sand Wedge?

I contacted a military (Army) course for a quote on a set of clubs. The retail on them is $599. They would sell them to me for $549... The manufacturer would sell them to me direct for $509 after a 15% military discount. I found them for $449 at Carl's Golfland. They will be here Friday!

Thanks. I used the app for the first time today, and entered the scores with net double bogey. I guess that's all I need to worry about to have a correct handicap...

I'm stumped on exactly what score I should be posting for my handicap. As I understand it, the maximum strokes on any hole would be double bogey. My Course Handicap is 24. Do I also deduct 24 from the score that I post?? Example: Score today, after maximum of double bogey on most holes, was 100. Do I post 100, or 76? Thanks!

Greetings from CENTRAL FLORIDA. I am a senior golfer (74) and high handicapper. I have recently decided to make a serious effort to significantly improve my game. I underwent a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) physical assessment, and have begun an exercise program recommended from that assessment. I am expecting new clubs (Tour Edge Bazooka) in the next few days. See you on the tee!

How much do military golf courses typically discount clubs from retail price?
