  1. Yes, good call. Last gap session I did was a season or two ago, probably good to do again. My last notes showed 191 carry with 5 iron, 201 carry with 4 iron, I was carrying the new 5 wood 225. So squeezing some more distance out of a 7 wood would actually gap my better there to the 5 wood (if that 4 iron number is close, which I think it is) I find it interesting you play a 5 iron, then a 5 hybrid. Is there a loft difference with those clubs?
  2. I’d look at the Sub70 drivers, they have two models. I believe they’re $279, with plenty of custom shaft upgrade options. www.golfsub70.com Direct to consumer pricing, quality equipment, excellent customer service. You can even demo what you want to try for twenty bucks.
  3. I’ve just purchased the new Sub70 Pro 2, 5 wood loft. Great club so far, and am considering grabbing the 7 as well. It comes in 21 degree, and my current 4 iron is (allegedly) 21.5. The slight loft difference, plus a 7 wood being a longer, graphite shaft, bigger/more forgiving head, has me concerned the gapping would get too big between a 7 wood and my 5 iron. Has anyone experienced this issue? I wonder if cutting the 7 wood shaft down a bit may help keep the gapping in control. There are worse places to have a bit of a gapping issue, but trying to think creatively about a solution. Thanks.
  4. First time poster, I’ve appreciated hearing others experiences thus far! I’m 42 now, about 1 index, and have started experiencing some wrist pain. Making a switch like this intrigues me, for sure, because I love the game and aren’t getting any younger. Anything that can keep me playing/practicing is worth a look. I just ordered a Str8 UltraLite to try on the driver, so we’ll see how that goes. Did any of you on here make this switch because of hand or wrist pain? And have you seen these grips alleviate those issues at all?
