T-Bone NJ's Achievements

  1. For me it would depend on whether it would be for a private golf course versus a public one and then what job role I would have. I would not want to be a ranger at any of the county golf courses I live in since they just recently had to intervene in a fight that broke out between golfers who were paired up. Part of this, I believe, with a public golf course it includes the bottom of the barrell with respects to that segement of people and their etiquette and overall decency. However, within the public arena or sector, I would like to be a member of the think tank or committee that decides on things like budgeting, maintenance and the overall direction of the course. I've played golf last year in four different counties in the Northern NJ area and the county I reside in has had the highest rate ($) increases while also have the greatest decline in the quality of it's courses. Perhaps I would be kidding myself that I could influence positive change? Then again I'd really like to know how the monies are being handled or perhaps mishandled.
  2. I'd have to say Wison. PGA store (at least the two in my area) no longer carries them. Golf Galaxy just stopped carrying them and there is limited availability at Dick's. I own the 2023 D9 iron set and it's an awesome set which hadn't been for MyGolfSpy's reviews I may never have purchased them (from an eBay store).
  3. You can almost write an entire season of a sitcom with this topic....lol. Two things: 1) two-some ahead of me about 220 yards from the tee box chose to seemingly endlessly fish out golf balls from the stream and not once looking back to see if they are holding people (me) up. 2) taking too long to find their golf ball after slicing off the tee shot; especially if they are still looking after everyone else hit their second shot.
  4. Appreciate all the insights and suggestions everyone! My takeway from everything here is to be patient and experiment a little bit at the driving range (incorporating some selfie videos perhaps), consider trying the tour striker smart ball and get a lesson (which I just booked with PGA professional Jeff Severini).
  5. I wonder what is, if any, ideal psi for this method?
  6. russtopherb, it's been a few things where I believe the arms are the cause: the lack of distance, especially on the 3 and 4 hybrids, 3 wood and driver, occasional back pain, inconsistent ball striking (fat/thin), catching the left arm not being straight I do like the tour striker smart ball.
  7. .....ahh, almost forgot about the towel/armpit tip! Shapotomous, I just revisited the Ben Hogan regarding the arms being together and also came across this left/lead wrist supination which seems like it also worth a try. Jbugai, can you please provide a little more regarding the forward press?
  8. Generally speaking, I know that each player has to find the swing that best suits them so long as it has certain basic principles like adequate shoulder turn and staying over the ball, etc. I'm a mid handicap golfer and was hoping that members could share any tips on how to reduce the arms in the golf swing? Preferably, keeping advice in the 'keep-it-simple-stupid' camp would be ideal but necessary. Many thanks. -Tom, NJ
  9. I'm leaning towards Titleist ProV1x but I do also like playing the Taylormade TourSofts and Callaway ChromeSoft balls.
