This is something I'm currently working on with an instructor. 9 degree driver head is now working much better .

I used tour velvets for years and had this exact same issue. Switched to the +4 and no issues since.

In my experience over the last few drivers I've owned, it doesn't make too much difference. I've tried heads from 10.5 all the way down to 7.5 and have struggled with high launch on all.
