The challenge I have with this is getting into my own rhythm if we are playing from several tee boxes. Often in our quota, the pairings can have huge swings in age. This usually simulates to a pair playing from the whites (Standard for most in Quota), one playing the Silvers and then another at the Golds. The thought is more on distance than handicap. If everyone is in close proximity from the tee box for their approach, the tees they are playing are acceptable, assuming they are playing the forward tees. When it gets tricky or more debatable, is on our par 3's. We may have 3-7 iron in hand, against 7-PW. These holes take a while and typically back-up because of the separation in tees.
