  1. My goal this year is to Break 100.....stuck at 105 so far....just need to get things to click in the front 9 and I'll be golden.... My major issue is that my game needs 9 holes to dial in....regardless of how much warmup I take
  2. Heyy! Hopefully I can help you with some insight. However, this is just one persons opinion. What are the latest trends in golf equipment that are gaining traction in markets like Dubai, and how can I ensure that my product offerings are aligned with these trends? People here come in all shapes and sizes and so most people here know the major brands. There is already multiple established retailers who cater to the big brands. However, what I see missing is somebody who specializes in offering some what people would not consider "pretty" but cost effective clubs. One notable brand that I've seen missing here from major retailers is wilson. Are there any specific brands or types of golf equipment that are particularly popular among golfers in Dubai or the Middle East region? People here like most other places go for the big usual brands. How can I effectively market and promote my golf equipment business to attract both local and international golfers visiting Dubai? I would recommend tying up with some clubs or casual societies to get your name out there. There are a bunch of people in those who play regularly and it could be useful. Hope that helps!!
  3. I personally use the Shot Scope H4 for my GPS needs as it provides scores and stat tracking as well. Since it is really finicky sometimes, especially when pins have been moved on the regular Par 3 course that I play (distances change daily), so I have a basic Mileseey rangefinder that I can also use(really cheap, great value for money, illegal in tournament play) which gives me some really wholesome coverage should I need it. Still doesn't better my hitting though.
  4. Greeting from Hot and Sunny Dubai!! Hope the weather is more favourable where you are when compared to the brain melting temperatures here! How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I began learning golf in August 2023 and have been playing since then. Never touched a club before that in my life. My handicap index currently sits at a 34.4 and my scores range from low 120s - high 130s. What do you love about golf? The addictive nature of the chase after perfection and yet never achieving it. It is the 2 great shots that keep me coming back and the addictive nature of this sport that moves me from despair to rage to jubilation followed by resignation that is so addictive. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I have used the website for many reviews and I love the reviews that it has. Do not know anybody else yet. Where are you from? What is your home course? I am Indian but live in the United Arab Emirates. I do not have a home course but usually play Par 3 courses. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? One of the best things about the region is the availability of courses for such a small location. There are a lot of clubs and courses available to play and it has varying price points too for different people. The worst thing though apart from the skin melting temperatures in the summer(reaches 50 deg. C in peak summer) is that golf here is a pretty expensive sport because green fees for courses here range from expensive to eye wateringly expensive(at least when compared to the median income). What do you do for a living? I work in a multinational company as a Facilities Manager. How’d you pick your user name? With a max driver distance of 200 yards and leaving every putt and chip shot short, I am the short hitter extraordinaire!
  5. @sirchunksalot Was it necessary to have a data connection on at all times while using the Connex System? Or was it just able to work without a net connection? Most of the other devices run purely on GPS alone and so I was wondering if this was the same as well.
