  1. This is sweet and well done. From a self described can you measure it and data junkie
  2. I also received the confirmation email of my order that its in the production queue. Yipee. Now its hurry up and wait Me "patiently" waiting
  3. Speaking of putter head covers and having some fun here, What would you prefer L.A.B. Pimento and cheese The L.A.B. Rat The lab monkey or Taz
  4. A good morning to all on a lovely sunny morning. Enjoying my morning espresso catching up on the pages of threads. @GolfSpy_APH wasn’t kidding when he said a big testing opportunity was coming up. Will they set a record for sign ups? Will the servers keep up? Moving a little slowly this morning. Where’s that tin man oil when you need it.
  5. I’m absolutely loving this choice and alignment mark. Very nice build. Great choices. Now enjoy your vacation.
  6. Great suggestion, but you mean my love/hate relationship with the Leafs? They have to beat Boston first in the playoffs. I’m more partial to

  8. I’m loving the Beast, beauty and the beast and to give you added resolve. Shaken, not stirred.
  9. I’m loving the idea of naming our putters. So far we have orange, red, black, blue and green. I have this blue beauty So I need help and input on what we should name this bad boy. So far, I’ve come up with the following: Blue Devil, big blue, blue thunder, Excalibur and gimme the blues. What do people think or what would you suggest? I’m open to suggestion.
  10. A good morning to all on a coolish overcast morning. Waiting for the morning coffee to kick in as I catch up on the various threads. Looking forward to playing a round later this morning. Hopefully, some parts of the game show up. @CSiders12 so sorry for your loss. Deepest sympathies to you and your family.
  11. 1. With the forward press grips what is the average loft of the lab putter at impact 2. If he can share, how does L.A.B. go about the process of balancing their putters. I.e What’s involved in the balancing of L.A.B. Putters 3. If you need or want to switch or replace a grip, can it be done at a local pro golf shop or does it have to be taken to an authorized dealer to ensure balance is correct?
  12. Nice little review on putter alignment aids from Ping. Basically, they found that their research indicates when a player perceives they can line up their putter easily, they usually have better performance. https://ping.com/en-us/blogs/proving-grounds/putter-alignment
  13. Great head cover. Team DF3 putter covers? That’s great news. I asked the fitters about using other (non L.A.B) grips. I was told it was possible, but you would need to send the putter grip to them so they could install and balance properly. They wouldn't recommend switching the grip on your own after you get a putter from them because that could definitely throw off the balance. Also, I’m 6’2” and most of my putters have been 35”
  14. Once we found it we could combine alignment marks, the design firm of @jbern Inc. went into overdrive and started creating mock-ups for us to view prior to ordering. I've always like the T line (simple, elegant and functional) but I kept getting drawn back to the uniqueness of the arrow/ pointer. When you combine the two, your eyes do really focus on one spot. Hat's off to L.A.B. for allowing you to be creative. + =
  15. I couldn't go with the pink as my wife really liked it, which means honey can I "borrow" your putter, only to have it go into her bag and never be seen again. It's happened before. Couldn't risk that. Would pink stand out - Absolutely Would I be razzed mercilessly by my golfing buddies - Absolutely and without a doubt, until I start sinking putt after putt. Could I risk losing the putter to my wife - Heck No. So purdy blue it is.
  16. A good morning to all. Wow what a morning with all the very well chosen and great testers announced for the Callaway Paradym Smoke drivers and the Autoflex Dream shafts. My espresso machine could barely keep up. @sirchunksalot I’m hoping you get your car troubles sorted out quickly. So remember gentlemen, we will be looking forward to your outstanding reviews. So will Callaway Paradym “smoke” Autoflex or will the Dream reign supreme?
  17. Looks absolutely great. I like your alignment mark. Simple, elegant and functional. Nice choice with the Garson quad tour grip. Your ExPutt system is going to get a work out. Well done.
  18. Now that I have received my fitting results, Like @GolfSpy MPR, I also submitted my build request to L.A.B. With all the various combinations possible, it made my head spin. So what did I ultimately decide on? Ultimately blue won out over red. 35.5" long and 69* lie as recommended. I went with the heavier head as that is what I prefer. I opted for the TPT shaft over the Stability. Both are great putter shafts, but I relied on L.A.B.'s advice and testing of the respective shafts offered. For alignment, I made use of the wizardry and advice of @jbern and asked L.A.B. to combine their pointer arrow (EE) with their T line (C). See below. I am very excited and honored to have the privilege of being able to test the L.A.B. DF3 putter and share my results, comments and insights with you. I also want to offer a special thanks to L.A.B. for all their help and support. They were a pleasure to deal with and made the whole process simple and easy. And now the waiting begins.
  19. Congratulations to a great group of testers. So who will be the first to unlock the dream? Will they see the expected increase in ball speed of 3-5 mph and more distance of 10-15 yards. Will the cost justify the benefits or is it all a bunch of Korean hidden technology?
  20. Congratulations to a very well chosen group of testers. I look forward to your comments, insights and thoughts. So which group will be longer? Which group will be straighter. Triple diamond, Max or Max D? Which tester will see the most improvement? Have fun guys.
  21. @Jim Shaw we have a series and it’s going to be back and forth all the way.
  22. @GolfSpy MPR I would tend to agree with you. The putting data on Arccos while improved is still the weakest link. Unless, you specifically mark where the flag is, the distances will be off. Even with a tap in putt, it will record it as 2’ due to GPS. So I interpret the distance putting (0-10, 10-20’ etc) with a large grain of salt. It’s the one thing I check closely to make sure it records the actual number of putts as it has a tendency to default to two. One of the things I’m looking forward to is finding out what my actual make percentage is from 5’, 10’ etc. In my mind it’s an area where I can definitely improve upon..
  23. Good news from L.A.B. Fitting results are in This is what I received. Your up next @CFreddie “Hi Chris, Thank you for your video! Your putter looks to be resting in a good position flat on the ground. Your suggested specs for lie angle and length are 69°/35.5”, which is pretty standard. Your eyeline looks like it's a little inside the ball which is why I'd like to take you down to 35.5" in length. This should help your eyes fall a little more over the ball.. Please let me know if you have any questions about your position or our products! If you’re still deciding on which putter, know that these specs would be the same for all of our models, as long as the style doesn’t change (armlock, broomstick, etc). If you have an order already placed, please send confirmation of what specs you would like that order updated with so we can proceed with your putter.
