Titleist has introduced the GT Drivers and fairways, signifying Generational Technology, marking a significant shift in materials, construction, and performance from their previous TS models. Despite appearances suggesting minimal change, substantial advancements lie beneath the surface.

Titleist's goal was to enhance performance without altering the familiar look and feel. This approach ensures that players have a familiarity with their clubs year over year while hopefully experiencing performance gains. The GT models feature refined aerodynamics, with changes focused on the underside to reduce drag and increase speed, notably through the raised aft section.

Tony Covey and Chris Nickel have done full breakdowns and articles on both the drivers and fairway woods which can be found here drivers) and here (fairway woods). Here is a brief overview to whet your appetite.

The New GT Line

The introduction of Split Mass Construction redistributes weight to the driver’s perimeter, enhancing stability and optimizing performance. Additionally, the GT lineup incorporates a seamless thermoform composite crown, marking a departure from previous designs. This innovative crown integrates a Proprietary Matrix Polymer (PMP), improving acoustics and mimicking the sound of titanium.

The GT drivers emphasize lowering the center of gravity, promoting consistent spin rates and enhancing forgiveness. Titleist’s Speed Ring with Variable Face Thickness (VFT) face technology aims to boost speed across the face, catering to off-center hits.

Titleist offers three GT driver models models (GT2, GT3, GT4) and two GT fariway wodo models (GT2 and GT3)

Each model maintains a familiar look but with significant improvements in speed, consistency, and overall performance. Titleist's approach ensures that while much has evolved, the essence of the driver remains unchanged, catering to both average golfers and Tour pros. The new GT family embodies the philosophy of advancing technology without compromising the core attributes that define Titleist drivers.

The Testing Opportunity

We are searching for four golfers to test, review and keep a GT driver and fairway wood from Titleist. Testers will be fit through a Titleist certified fitter and will receive the clubs which they are fit for.

Titleist has made some bolder claims with this line, and the name indicates this is a big leap forward. So can it be true? We want to see how this new line performs in the hands of our members and everyday golfers.

Amazing opportunity!  The best driver I ever had was a TS2, which eventually died on me so I would love to test out their latest tech against the Ping G410 I'm playing now, as well as pit the GT FW against the 15-degree Rogue ST Max that's currently in the bag.  With input from their Driver selector tool here's the dream setup:

What an amazing opportunity! In the process of upgrading my entire bag after 20+ years! Just purchased  my irons last month as a first step and was waiting for these to be released to start the driver + fairway search. Looking forward to reading the reviews (or writing my own) of whoever is lucky enough to get selected.

Titleist always come through with a great testing opportunity for the release. Already did some testing this year but why not build a dream set for fun.

For those lucky enough to be selected as a tester and don't happen to get along with the fairway woods in their bag I have a Autoflex Dream 7 with a Titleist adapter that is looking for a new home through a trade.

I have been using Titleist Drivers since the release of the 910 series.  Even though I have bounced between Callaway, Titleist and TaylorMade Irons, my Driver, 3-wood and Hybrid have always been Titleist.  The level of adjustability, spin rates and consistency have kept me loyal to Titleist for many years.  The opportunity to test the new GT series would be a ton of fun!  I carry a Driver, 3-Wood, Hybrid for my long game and have 4-pw as my irons.  The ideal set for me is a GT3 Driver 10° and a 15° GT3 3-wood (that I'll probably adjust down to 14.25°).  I love to tinker with lie angle, loft and CG until I get everything "dialed in", then pretty much leave the set locked.  As a long-time "Titleist Guy", I believe that I can bring great perspective on the evolution of the product and the current state of their technology.  Please put these two in my bag!!  If possible, fit a HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70 6.5 shaft for the driver and a Denali Blue 60 6.5 shaft for the 3-wood.

Wow, one of the best opportunities to test a #1 rated driver!

I would love if chosen for the GT4, 9 degree, soft shaft. It would surely be a pleasure to test.
