I believe that you should look at the distance you are hitting your driver and then check the score card for the distances of the Par 4's. If you can't hit it fair enough to get to a 5 to 6 irons distance then I would move up a tee. Putting an iron in your hand for your second shot would make your round more enjoyable. You could get a few more birdies per round. I am 63 year old and tried to play about 6100 yards rounds. My index is 11.8. But play the tee's that make you have fun.

This golf course is unique in a way that there is 5 Par 3's and 5 Par 5's. The course is in good shape and it is fun to play.

The course was in good shape and the greens roll true. The greens were on the slow side. Overall the course was in good shape. The price was a little high for the course but playing in the Bend area is not cheap.

The green were very fast and undulating. Overall the course is very fun to play.

Date 07/02/2023 Course Name River's Edge Golf Course Gross Score 85 Course Handicap 13 Gross Strokes over/under par 13 Net Score to Par 0 Net Score 72 Net Birdies or better 8 Longest Drive 245 Visiting Bend, Oregon and played River's Edge Golf Course today. The front nine was longer that the back and the greens were on the small size. Over all played well on the back except two shots. Very happy with the score.

My team ended up getting 3rd place for the day with 10 points in the matches. We will need to have a good day on Sunday morning to Qualify for the shootout in the afternoon.

We had 9 points for the day. A good day of golf in the mountains of Arizona.

The tournament is 5 9-hole match play with a championship play at the end if your team qualifies. The team is a two man team. Looking forward to playing.

I started with two birdies but I also had 7 double bogeys. I also had a weather stoppage due to lighting but was only for 20 minutes. The course is in good shape after all of the snow this year in Northern Arizona.

I shot a 85 and as a team, we were -1 for the day. One triple and two double bogeys today. One birdie also. The wind did pick up late in the round.

I had 29 putts for the round and a couple of double bogeys. Overall good ball striking round.

Four 3 putts didn't help the score. Greens were slower than expected. But had a great time with friends.

The could have been better except a lost ball on #9 hole. I still double bogey the hole to shoot a 40 on the front. I am happy with the round and looking forward to play again on Friday at Cimarron.

The other was a bad chip. I also had a four putt on a par 3. Three holes that put me 6 over and I still shot a 82 with one birdie.

Messed up some chips and then three putted the green. Over all it was a good day on the course.

I had two double bogeys and missed three brides putts. Overall play well and had fun.

The fairways are in great shape and the greens are rolling true. The weather was good with a little wind. I had some bad holes but overall played well off the tee. Just missed some chips today.

The greens were recovering from being aerated. Overall the course was in good shape.

Date 05/10/2023 Course Name Valley Hi Country Club - El Grove, CA Gross Score 92 Course Handicap 11 Gross Strokes over/under par 20 Net Score to Par 9 Net Score 81 Net Birdies or better 3 Longest Drive 240 First time playing Valley Hi golf course. The greens were very fast and the wind was blowing between 10 to 15 MPH. The course is in good shape and I would play it again.

Shot a 85 with only two double bogeys. Putted better today with only one 3 putt. Still two more days of Northern California golf.

Date 05/08/2023 Course Name Rancho Murieta South Gross Score 90 Course Handicap 9 Gross Strokes over/under par 18 Net Score to Par 9 Net Score 81 Net Birdies or better 3 Longest Drive 245 Played Rancho Murieta South course today and it was in okay shape due to the wet winter in California. The course had all of their sand traps damaged due to excessive rain so they are being played as Ground Under Repair. The greens were slow but in good shape. Overall the course is playable.

I usually get to the course about a hour ahead of my tee time. This gives me time to pay and hit a small bucket of balls then chip and putt. If I am playing with friends I usually get there about 45 minutes before. I try to be ready to go early if the groups are teeing off early.

Date 05/03/2023 Course Name Granite Falls South Gross Score 75 Course Handicap 8 Gross Strokes over/under par 3 Net Score to Par -5 Net Score 67 Net Birdies or better 7 Longest Drive 265 Played in our last Winter tournament in Sun City Grand. I had my best score of the year with the Men's Club. I shot a 75 with two birdies and only one double bogey. I had 31 putts for the round which is very good on our two year old greens. Overall it was a great day.
