  1. As I was cleaning up the house today I realized I've gone a little hard on the literature around my golf game but I am proud that the Run Your Butt Off book is part of this collection. All joking aside it's a great running program to take someone from no running at all to getting to wherever they can get to. Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  2. Getting out about 1-2 each weekend for 9 holes a piece. Winter Goll is an adventure ! Stoked about my putting starting to come down under 18 puts per 9. Overall scores are still struggling but that as been from 2nd and 3rd shots lately. The new Triton Driver has been helping hit those fairways thus far. Stay warm out there fellow spies !
  3. For sure come on over ! As far as using the grint I really like it it's the most intuitive of those type of apps that I've used and they also can provide you a real handicap if that matters. Again I just think it's the most intuitive on course. I like that you can move the GPS around to see your front middle and back numbers. I just put my phone on do not disturb so I don't get hit up for tons of text messages or phone calls and I just use my phone as a rangefinder. Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. Welcome ! I was also a longtime reader and recently joined and have enjoyed the community so far. I live just across the river in Frederick County MD and every once in a while sneak over to Virginia and play raspberry falls. I feel you on having expensive courses nearby that's sort of my case, the two closest to me are really good courses but out of my normal price range. I tend to stick to the municipal courses. 5. Hang in there and get better soon @Golfspy_CG2
  6. For real ! ..... I didn't wieght this much when I played rugby and was trying to be a bit chunkier. Ooooffff ! Golf does not require extra padding unfortunetely LOL
  7. I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread I follow No Laying Up stuff as well and this is a great idea thanks for putting the spreadsheet together. Y'all are crushing some [emoji972] Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. It appears to me the the natural course of events are doing their thing and JT has given a couple spot on, what seem to be heartfelt apologies and that's awesome. If he wanted a to take it a step further, not necessary in my opinion, totally his call but a classy move could be, taking any winnings from this tournament and donating them to the Trevor project or a another group that fights hate speech. And not put out a press release on the fact that he did so, letting whatever organization he donates to put that out if they want. Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. Thanks for that perspective, makes ot less odd and now just a very poor choice of words. Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  10. I like the way you put this about what he defaulted to because that's sort of what I was trying to get at in my own post and I hadn't read what you'd written. kudos to the way you put that again it's just odd that this is what he defaulted to saying when there are other fabulous curse words and things that can be used without demeaning people or groups. 11. I have to admit one of the first things I thought , after the obvious oh that was bad and shouldn't have been said, was that's an odd thing to say to your golf ball. Mostly because I guess when I'm cursing at myself or when I cross my own threshold for what I shouldn't be saying or could do better at it typically revolves more around sexism or gender stuff than it does sexuality or sexual orientation. I guess posting this has made me do my own bit of reflection and realize I have more work to do on gender/sexism stuff than I do sexual orientation stuff. For background I learned most of
  12. I appreciate your feedback and overall agree with you that the fittings and fitting processes is the ideal situation. Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  13. Right on, yeah I plan to get fit into the Triton in the few weeks, this spring I will also have the irons loft and lie checked for quality control. One of the biggest lessons I learned based on what I was sharing above was to maximize my initial strategy I should not have started to look at clubs until I went and got the specs. I cannot stress that enough I was mistaken to start looking at them on eBay because then I just got sucked in to buying a set before I'd implemented my full strategy of establishing some baseline statistics. The pricedis above or the posted prices at my local Dick'
  14. I have been listening to a backlog of podcasts recently and just finished the "Used Clubs" Podcast on No Putts Given. I also recently upgraded my driver and irons and did so with used clubs. I deployed what for me seemed like a logical strategy. I still understand it is all a bit of a lottery ticket (especiialy the irons due to quanity of shafts) but for me this made sense and fit my budget. I ultimately bought newer irons ( ie technology) than I thought I could because of money saved from doing a $200-300 fitting into $600-1500 clubs.(which was out of the question) I am curious what strategi
  15. Good to hear Jones bags have a solid reputation. I was curious if the Vessels are lame they are cracked up to be. They look really nice ! Sent from my Pixel 4 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
