  1. WOW! So many golf apps...and different ideas on how best to use them. For a while I was using Golf Pad, which I really liked, but didn't have anything to measure it against. When I purchased my Shotscope Pro LX1 I used the Shotscope app, but then lost my H4 (most of the time I found the H4 when it came off the belt clip...then lost for good). I had a difficult time remembering to touch the end of my club to the H4 to record the shot. After losing the H4 I purchased a Garmin Approach S62 golf watch and have been using the Garmin Connect app, which I also like. Hoping to pick up a full set of the Garmin Approach CT10 sensors to expand on the Connect app. I have recorded what others are using and will check some of them out. Thanks to all for the feedback and suggestions!
  2. Had the Shotscope Pro LX+ last year...ended up losing the H4 GPS unit after it had fallen off the holder several times and I found it several times. Finally, 3/4 way through the season I lost it and did not find it. Was frustrated with having to tap the club sensor to the H4...forgetting...and having to go in after the fact to try to remember my shots, hazards, putts, etc. Anyway, shortly afterward I purchased the Garmin Approach S62, and so far love it. I am just getting used to how to operate it...and wouldn't you know it...was warm last November (2022), played a round and fell, tearing my rotator cuff. Had surgery in early February and am recovering...but chomping at the bit to get back out on the course. Just getting used to...and struggling a bit with the learning curve, but I think I am going to really like the S62. Anyone here found any site online that gives good, easy tips and tricks for using the S62? I am thinking about picking up the CT10 sensors this year and have read some really good reviews on them. Can't wait to try them out together with the S62 and getting some good feedback on my game. Thanks to all of you for weighing in on everything Garmin. Really liking the S62 and looking forward to healing and getting back out on the course.
  3. So...last year (2022 season) I finally purchased the Shotscope LX+ system. Overall, I liked it at first. However, I did notice that the range finder had trouble sometimes locking in on the flag. Sometimes I would reshoot for distance 3-4 times and get different distances each time. The small GPS, the H4, worked great, but I struggled how best to carry it. I tried carrying it on my belt, but the H4 kept popping off the holder. I then tried to carry it with the included carabiner, which worked great for a while, but then the H4 would periodically fall off the holder again. Finally, about 3/4 of the way through the season, it fell off the holder and I was unable to find. I called the clubhouse pretty regularly for a few weeks and no one had turned it in, so I was out of luck. Another frustrating thing was trying to remember to touch the butt end of the club, where the sensor was, to the H4 to record shots. Not sure how much good data I got, because I had to try to remember shots and update the data at the end of the round. All in all, not sure I would but the Shotscope again. I finally purchased a Garmin Approach S62 toward the end of the season and liked that a lot better for distance, accuracy and club info. This year (2023) I plan to purchase the Garmin Approach CT10 sensors to go along with my S62 to see how I like this system. Anyone else have a similar experience?
