Well, I shot an 81 earlier this week, which was incredible. I am getting repeatable results with good swings, and better than expected results on less than perfect. The forgiveness is really top notch!

I am hitting them about half a club longer. I believe this is a combination of the tech in the Black OPS and the length of the clubs which are a 1 inch longer than mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

These clubs are 1 club stronger than my T300s. The loft of the Black Ops 7 is the same as the T300 6iron. This is consistent throughout the set, for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Consistency. When I strike them well, the ball goes the expected distance and direction. Additionally, confidence. Knowing the distance will be consistent, I can swing away knowing if I perform well, the club will also perform well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good progress continues. I'm seeing better consistency as I continue to play more. We have a tourney in a couple weeks and I am looking to contribute more iron play to my team!

More updates to come. My last 2 rounds are the best I have had in years. I shot an 84 on Sat and a 41 (9 holes) on Sunday. I am choking up about half an inch on each iron and that has made a world of difference. I’m not concerned about distance as shot dispersion is more important to me. So far, so good! First Impressions Updated: First Impressions

First impressions coming today…..(pretty, pretty, pretty good). I want to thank PXG and MGS for their outstanding customer service. They have read about my struggles (I know the problem is me, not the Black Ops!!) and offered to have my fitter do a fit check, on Monday. Very impressed on how important customer satisfaction is to both PXG and the leads at MGS. I am 100% confident that I will continue to see improvement as I go forward. Thank you to this community for your support. These tests we get to do are very important for the OEM, but also our readers. I use this site to determine what I should and shouldn’t try. Struggle bus today. These are the averages for my 2 rounds with the BlackOps. I’m having a real hard time with the length. These are 1+ inch over my current clubs. I am hitting a lot of fat and left/hookshots, which is frustrating. I’m questioning whether or not this shaft and length is right for me. I shouldn’t have to make drastic changes for a club that was ‘fit’ for me to”work”. I’ll Try again tomorrow! PS-the 4i is actually the 5i. OK all - I was able to get out late Friday for a quick 9 holes. I was able to set up my shot scope watch to capture my new iron performance. Most of them, I only hit once. A couple things to note: 1-The driver average is a misnomer, as I completely duffed one as someone blew an air horn. Kinda funny, but kinda not. 2-The 5 wood was a punch shot, so I’m ok with that distance. 3-The 4i is actually the 5 iron. I lost the 5i shot scope tab, so I used the 4i one. I hit 2 tee shots with the 5. The first one went 200, and straight. It was a low flight shot, but carried forever. I’m was sure that it was an outlier, so I teed another one up. I hit it 194. Saying I was in shock is an understatement. 4-Overall, I really struggled with the irons because of their length. I chunked the 7 iron and Gap every time I hit them. I don’t hit the 8 iron clean, but it was ok. The 9 iron was hammered(for me). A lot more to do and test. Mixed results for ME so far, but not bad. The irons sound a bit clicky, to me. That said, if you hit them square, WOW these have a hot face. 2 legit shots of a 5 iron carrying 190? Granted this is the loft of a 4 iron, but still. Overall, I think PXG has a winner on their hands. I need to tweak my aggressive transition a bit to be more consistent. (Plug for the deWiz swing modifier that I previously tested). Yeah so....ummm.....not for me. I hit longer clubs off the toe (will post pics in my main post), I hook, not fade, and we will see on average distance. Granted...it's not like the irons are swinging themselves, but still lol
